Guest guest
We see RSV a lot in vaccinated children after the first, second or third pertussis vaccines - and it isn't always immediate. I have never seen RSV in an unvaccinated baby. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi... Fischer JE, JE, TR, Graham BS. Guest guest
I just wanted to respond to this portion. My daughter did in fact have RSV without being vaxed. She was only 8 weeks old, born on her due date, naturally, no vaxes, anything. It happens. > > We see RSV a lot in vaccinated children after the first, second or > third pertussis vaccines - and it isn't always immediate. Guest guest
My son got RSV at about 1 week of age. He received the Hep. B vaccine. That's the only one he ever got. I'm convinced he would not have gotten sick if he were not vaxed. > > We see RSV a lot in vaccinated children after the first, second or > third pertussis vaccines - and it isn't always immediate. Guest guest
thats interesting, as when Roan was in hospital at 6 weeks with bronchiolitis -or possible whooping cough , but as we got a negative swab they said it couldnt be- there was another baby who had RSV bronchiolitis and she was just over 8 weeks -the age of 1st jabs in uk (i'm also sure i had a brief conversation about whooping cough and 'luckily' her daughter had the jabs already....) the other baby in there was also just over 2 months had suddenly started having convulsions from being healthy at birth... if only i knew what i know now i would have asked both the parents were their kids recently vaxed? jo > > We see RSV a lot in vaccinated children after the first, second or > third pertussis vaccines - and it isn't always immediate. Guest guest
My son, now 2 years old and unvaxed, had RSV when he was 1 month old. Very mild, though, requiring no treatment or hospitalization. +4 ( 10, Quinn 5, Jezek 2, Briar 4 months) __________________________________________________________________ Get a sneak peak at messages with a handy reading pane with All new : http://ca.promos./newmail/overview2/
Guest guest
Thanks for that info...they didn't test him until after he had been in hospital almost a week (they lost the earlier swab test they did) and yes he had already been ill for about 10days before being admitted....so more of a possibility?
