But I will say that I very much agree with your last statement, " one can never predict how it will impact on a particular child. " This is very true, even most DOCTORS have no clue about diet relating to autism, most of them still believe it is entirely genetic. Plus noone will really know how ANY intervention will impact a specific child until that intervention is tried with that specific child. So that makes me wonder why you might believe a doctor over your own experiences and the experiences of other parents. Several parents here have been able to use certain enzymes and then return to eating gluten and casein [or never being gfcf to begin with], and their children are better with enzymes than with gfcf. However, this does not apply to all children or to all enzymes, and you would have to learn about the specific enzymes you are considering. Some are for use with gfcf and are for infractions and/or other food issues besides gluten and casein. Others indicate they can be used while regularly eating gluten and casein. My children were gfcf for 18 months when I began enzymes. I re-introduced gluten with the enzymes and they regressed. I removed gluten again and they improved, more so than before the enzymes. My children appear to be celiac, so there is more going on for them than just intolerance/opioid effect. However, if your statement immediately preceding that last statement is also accurate, that you " have concerns about trying anything without doctor's advice " , then you are wise to get advice from the sort of doctor you are considering, which I am sure is not me LOL. And if you trust Dr. Bradstreet, and if that statement on his site is current, then you should try gfcf with your child, with or without enzymes. Guest guest
Thanks, Joanne. It's helpful to know that someone else experienced anxiety from Trazodone. It was just a hunch, although it could be from the change in thyroid meds too. I just really felt like the Trazodone was the culprit. Time will tell. Much love, Carol Re: [ ] Carol Hi I am so sorry you are having a rough time. It sounded terrible with the chest pain. I had taken trazadone in the past and it did give me a feeling of anxiety. I went off of it If I can be of help please let me know. Feel better Joanne

Guest guest
Hi Joanne, I hope you get this before your trip. I wanted to wish you a safe and peaceful trip. It is a very long drive. Maybe you could use some of the time to enjoy the scenery and take your mind off of things. I would love to hear your dog sing. My aunt used to have a doberman that would sing. It was the funniest thing to see. I love mushrooms too, but I have never been to Kennett Square. I plan to visit my cousin one day when the whole family is not there and it is less stressful. Actually it is not the whole family who is the problem, it is my older sister, . She has a hard time getting along with anyone. I think that she actually fights with herself when there is no one else around. It is easier to just stay away from her. Yes, Heidi and I are smoke-buster buddies. I am still smoke free and it is getting easier. Thank you for all of your kind words. Hugs for a safe trip. Keep us informed as soon as you are able. Guest guest
Joanne: That is upsetting news! How much correction has rec'd of his flatness? I see you've already rec'd great replies, so I'll simply agree w/them all. The bands should help correct misaligned ears, most do. Has his band always shifted as much as you've described? That doesn't sound ok to me. Bands do shift for the first couple of wks or so, but after that the baby's head grows into it which makes it fit tighter. I'm also wondering why they told you the never do 2nd bands? Why in the world wouldn't they if there is more correction needed? Sorry for your bad news I can understand why you're upset. Guest guest
Joanne, I am sorry that you are having such pain. I don't know how you can get off the floor. My Mom used to put a piece of plywood under her mattress and that would make it firm. Perhaps you could do that and if the mattress is still too soft; wrap the plywood in a heavy blanket and then put the sheet on top. Make sure that you hold a pillow to cough or sneeze just like you have to after surgery. I hope you can get some relief. Iris --- a <paula54@...> wrote: > Joanne, > I feel so bad for you. Guest guest
Thank you a....I am getting the feeling that Florida in general offers poor health care. We are considering moving back to PA but have not decided yet. All of our family is there except for 2 kids who are here in FL.....so just not sure especially since CNN reports that real estate in Phila and surrounding areas has risen 25%, higher than any other area in the entire country!..And that just may be the deciding factor for us. My back is slightly better, Thanks for asking. Unfortunately most disks in my lower back are herniated... Thanks Love Joanne

Guest guest
Hi Joanne, I believe that you meant this message for Beth L but I'm going to add my two cents anyway! I have the high CRP level too. I don't know what it is now but need to have it checked again. I think that when I told you about it I also mentioned that my quack of a doctor told me that it was nothing to worry about. Then I got on the internet and started to research it myself. That is when I became very upset. I called my doctor back and once again she said don't worry about it. It could mean anything. I told her what I had learned about it and she said that it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Quack! Anyway, I think that it is something to be very concerned about and I need to have it checked again. I believe after all my research, my high CRP was probably caused from all of the swelling I had from my implants. I called myself the pillsbury dough girl! Since explant, alot of the puffing has gone done but I do start to swell up when I'm in the sun. I had the same problem when they found out that my liver and spleen were enlarged. Don't worry about it is all I heard. Meanwhile, I couldn't wear a tight fitting bra because of the pain in my spleen. I should have gone to medical school. Seems to me that the standard answer is don't worry about it until you drop dead in front of them then they take notice! My spleen like many of my other symptoms have either gone away or improved since explant. In case you didn't know, there are two Beth's in the group. Beth S. and Beth L. As far as I can tell, this causes high blood pressure, and in turn stroke nad heart attacks can occur. I have 3 implant friends who passed with heart attacks and strokes at early ages. I had my ruptured implant out in 1992, so I have been explanted for a long time. How is your blood pressure? I have a macine to monitor mine, and am finally on B.P. medication, which I hate as I do not take drugs readily. I also take a thyroid medication which is only .75mcg's which is a very low dose.. I went on a Dr. motivated diet to help with bringing down my qweight which I hoped in turn would bring down my B.P. Never touched the B.P. levels, however I lost 35 lbs. What do you know about CRP? Guest guest
My husband saw our ND for high blood pressure and elevated CRP. He was put on an herbal tincture for his high BP. Within two weeks, his BP was reduced to normal — it had been dangerously high. Today, nearly a year later, it is still normal. Since you react poorly to BP drugs, you might consider a natural approach. According to our ND, high CRP is extremely dangerous and needs immediate treatment. Guest guest
Hi Joanne, You’re quite welcome! We buy the tincture from our ND but the ingredients are: 40 cc Tilia 40 cc Rauwolfia 40 cc Convallaria My husband was skeptical of ND’s prior to taking this. He’s a huge believer now! His CRP is normal now as well. I’m not sure if it is because of this tincture or the InflammaBlox he takes for inflammation. I suspect it is the InflammaBlox. I will pray that your sleep will improve. I am taking Inositol powder, which is a very interesting vitamin, in the B family. It is in the silicone protocol, and helps convert silicone to silica, so the body can eliminate it. It is also very calming and has been successfully used in small studies in Israel to treat depression, anxiety and OCD. hugs, Beth L. Guest guest
Hi Joanne, It is a natural anti-inflammatory. My husband and I both take it. It takes for CRP and I take it because I have a high level of inflammation in my body naturally. Kenda HI Again Kenda, Pardon my ignorance, but what is an InflammaBlox? Thankyou so much for the recipe, I will ask my ND about it tomorrow. Joanne Re: Joanne My husband saw our ND for high blood pressure and elevated CRP. He was put on an herbal tincture for his high BP. Within two weeks, his BP was reduced to normal ˜ it had been dangerously high. Today, nearly a year later, it is still normal. Since you react poorly to BP drugs, you might consider a natural approach. According to our ND, high CRP is extremely dangerous and needs immediate treatment
