Guest guest
Sue I breastfeed and supplement with homemade formula (weston a. price recipe) so i give it to her in the formula. Why am I supplementing you may ask? I was not producing enough breastmilk (tried everything) and since having to return to work full time I was not producing what was needed to meet her daily demands - so rather than opting for commercial formula (poison) we do it homemade (goat's milk base). yes, i do take them myself... but also include them in the formula recipe. hope this answers your question. ari Arianna Mojica " All rights not demanded are presumed waived. ~ Thurston " I share our Founders' belief that in a free society each citizen must have the right to keep and bear arms. Guest guest
HI Arianna, I was sure that you were still breastfeeding, so I just wondered why you felt the need to offer probiotics to your baby as well, given that breastmlik provides the bifidum factor, necessary for good gut flora. I am fascinated by the number of folk on this list who use them while breastfeeding, and who also offer vitamins and minerals when breastfeeding. I see it as unnecessary given that breastmilk has all the necessary nutritional factors already in it.... I also don't understand why you feel that a breastfeeding mother should also be taking probiotics and vitamin C. While it's arguable that we would all benefit from doing this, I don't see it as necessary for a breastfeeding mother - your post implies that breastfeeding mothers are deficient in some way and *need* supplementation? Perhaps I am misunderstanding what you mean? Maybe it is just that the Americans view this in a different way to the Brits? (And Aussies, from what I've seen.) ) Love, light and peace, Sue I breastfeed and supplement with homemade formula (Weston a. Price recipe) so I give it to her in the formula.
