Amy, you are right that every surgical procedure has risks. But the

risks are problems with anesthesia, the wound not healing, those

kinds of things. The risks with breast implants are chronic illness

from the exposure to silicone and the contaminated saline. These

illnesses may last the rest of our lives. Have you read our

stories? Go to the Files section and read some of our

Implant/Explant stories. Our implants made us sick and took years

from us that we'll never get back. We WILL get well one day, but it

varies from person to person. It could be months or even years. If

you already have Crohns disease, you're asking for another chronic

illness that has no medicine to control it. I wish you would re-

consider. If I had it to do all over again - I would never have

gotten implants.

you will be just asking for more suffering - emotionally and

physically. I know and speak from experience. I know it is hard with

your condition but at least you have your health which is more than I

can say. in hindsight, i would rather have two deformed breasts now

than to go through what I deal with everyday. it isn't worth it - I
