Guest guest
At my daughter's 4 month well check the Ped. asked me how my daughter did with her 2 month shots. I had to remind him that she hadn't had any shots yet and that she had a small cold so I didn't want her to have shots (Hib and IPV) that day either. He asked me what I was thinking concerning the shots. I told him I wasn't sure yet. He said he strongly recommended the Hib and Prevnar. Well, then he had to show me several pictures of children with what he said were EXTREME cases of the different illnesses, gave me some info sheets, not pkg. inserts, on the shots, and asked me to sign a paper. I had to initialize each vaccine that was recommended, and sign my name. I did so thinking that it was required. I now know that I should have read the paper very carefully and probably shouldn't have signed it at all. The Vaccine Liberation site says signing such forms can be self incriminating. I want to warn others to keep someone else from making the mistake I've made. Also, I'm wondering what to do about it. Could I still make up my own form stating that I'm aware of the risks of vaccinating and add that to my daughter's file or just let this be, but be more careful in the future? Thanks, beth
