Guest guest
Patty, Dr. Blais said that my capsules were not normal as in they did not enclose the entire implant. This is what he said exactly: " Thus, the capsules did not enclose the implants with a continuous membrane. Instead, the capsules consisted of mostly irregular and fenestrated lace-like material of variable thickness without ability to retain prosthetic debris. " I guess that means that from the very beginning nasty stuff was able to get into my system. I also tested positive for " Silicone Antibodies " . For those who don't know, my implants were brown with fibrous tissue and blood floating in them. I had faulty valves and there was stuff growing in the valves. The implanting doctor filled them with saline and antibiotics. There are pictures of them in the photos section. Also, when the capsules were removed, they weren't all in one piece. They had to be dissected off of my chest wall. After reading Holly's post about hers not being removed " en bloc " , I wonder if some of mine were left behind. Do you think I could get a sonogram and find out what's in them? I've got a lot of lumps and bumps in there and they are soooooo sore and sensitive.
