Guest guest
- Hi lisa I have negative blood work also. I went to a rheumatologist and they are worthless. I think most of the women on this site would agree. It doesn't really matter that your bloodwork is negative. It doesn't exclude the possibility of any autoimmune disease despite what the doctor might tell you. For instance, if your ANA is negative, they will say, well, you don't have lupus. Not necessarily so. Same with scleroderma, RA and all of them. Plus, you can be very sick with negative bloodwork. It is just that most doctors will ignore you for alot longer when your blood work is normal. But even when they agree you are sick, so what? Most of them have nothing to offer. The standard pain meds, prednisone, methotrexate, and other immune suppressants. I think you are better off trying to heal yourself. There are lots of things you can do to get better without the doctor. You might also want to check out the www.roadback.org and www.rheumatic.org websites. These are run by people who use the antibiotic protocol to put their autoimmune disease in remission. If nothing else, you might learn more about your condition as people with many different types of diseases post there. Those people are also very friendly and helpful.
