Hi guys, my son's first birthday is tomorrow!!! I just want to say

to Sheri and the group how grateful I am to have found you all. Not

vaccinating was the most difficult decision to come to because I

really had to put all my faith in myself and go against what my

doctor, family, and husband were telling me to do. After doing much

research though, the decision wasn't difficult at all, but it still

took a while to convince everyone else of that. I'm so lucky now

that through this group mostly I was able to learn enough and now

even my husband looks upon vaccines with disgust, also, my mom will

no longer get my 6 year old nephew vaccinated (he lives with her,)

and my sister, who is due with her first baby boy in July, will

absolutely not vaccinate either.

My son (regretfully) received 4 vaccines at 2 months, I wasn't strong

enough with information at the time to push away the doctor, but has

had none since and never will again. He couldn't be healthier or

happier, has never been sick, only a slight runny nose for a few days

several months ago. Most of the supposedly vaccine preventable

diseases are most dangerous in children under one and I never saw any

threat, so if I would have vaccinated out of this fear, I would have

been risking vaccine reactions for nothing. I always read about and

see children harmed by vaccines and am so glad I was able to inform

myself and prevent that harm to my son.

I'm always so happy to see new people in this group, starting out

exactly where I did, and am sure, will end up exactly where I am

now...knowing that not vaccinating my son was the best decision I

could have ever made.
