My mother in law has shingles. I am pregnant and called my doctor to

find out if I needed to stay away from her. This is what I was told.

1. You can't catch shingles from someone else. You catch chicken pox

from being around someone with shingles.

2. I should be okay since I've already had chicken pox.

HERE'S THE BEST PART!

3. Keep my 3 year old away because......get this........his words(a

doctor!!!)............. " VACCINES ARE NOT 100% EFFECTIVE!!!!!!!!! "

Exactly what I've been trying to tell my friends and family for a long

time!!!!!!!

Thats it . But for some reason pro vaxers seem to ignore these things like

they are not relevant. It just goes to show how effective brainwashing really

is. When it goes on from one generation to the next, it grows in strength.

I have an elderly friend, who brushes all the information I share off, like it

is just rubbish. She criticises the fact I find my information on the internet.

This lady watches the news, and reads newspapers. The rest of her knowledge is

gained by personal experience. Has she ever researched through the CDC or FDA,

or read countless studies published in journals such as the Lancet and BMJ. Not

to mention, read countless first hand accounts from people all over the world

who suffer damage. No, she has never done any of this. Personally, I know,

that my knowledge is way more advanced than her on the subject. But I just have

to wear her opinion, because unfortunately she is too closed minded to change.

She will just keep on making the same old arguments that we all hear. As if

they make sense. And we are the loony ones.

Wow--way to go, doc! One that speaks the truth. However, why stay away? Let him

get the pox--or will it not be the real thing gotten that way?

fYI--lots of shingles going around. My father-in-law and father both had it

within the past couple of years. CP vax at work, maybe?

Actually my Mom was the same way until I showed her the Dept of

Educations's statistics for current elementary school children. Then
