What eradicated Disease?

Need some help. I got into it today with my Aunt about vaccines not being safe

and effective

and she was fueled by the recent study that came out yesterday.

Her question was if the vaccines did not eradicate the disease what did.

I can find the information in my files and I want to eloquently and respectfully

stick it to her.

I read somewhere that diseases were already on their way out when they started

the

vaccinations and that other countries were not on the same schedule and their

death rates

went down.

Any help or references would be great!
