When my implants were looked over by Dr. Blais, he said that one of them had a faulty valve design that caused bacteria and fungus to form. I had never thought I would be looking into getting a lawyer, but after I heard that, I got so upset. I mostly blame myself ,because I should have known not to take a chance on implants, but I feel that they are to blame also. All the medical community that stands behind these PSs make me feel sick. I can't even get Diflucan for Candida because Dr.s don't believe in it.

I called 3 different lawyers here in Las Vegas, who all said I did not have a case. I would love to get back the $8,000. that I paid for my explant( I put on our credit cards, still paying off) If I had them out earlier, when I was working and had great Ins.-the explant would have been at least half way covered. It took me 4 yrs. of being ill to stop believing Dr.s who told me that an explant would make my Fibro much worse! If I wouldn't have done my own searching on the internet, I would still have them and I might have ended my life by now. I don't mean to be over-dramatic, but it was the worst and longest 4 yrs. of my life.

Has anyone here ever had a lawyer that could help them?

Wow Kathy, that makes my issue so lame. I didn't die because of the doctor's actions, I just got my feelings hurt! I'm so sorry about your husband. Doctors need to LISTEN to their patients and their families. We know what's "normal" because we're with them every day. I'm so sorry they didn't listen to you. both of mine had faulty valves and fungus- I had an atty for a while down here who ended up dropping my case a few months ago as they didn't want to go to federal court - they just wanted to nail the dr for malpractice as it was believed by Dr.Blais that he had something to do with the type of contamination that was found - as far as malpractice was concerned, I was beyond the statute of limitations (even though I didn't know they were leaking and faulty until they were removed last year). My atty still believed I had a case but he couldn't get his firm to take it. I would love to get involved with another atty as I feel like I do have a great case but several around me are not interested. Let me know if your guy is as I would love to find another one. I can't hurt you to try - you won't have to pay anything unless you win.
