Guest guest
Shari, I am soooo sorry. I went through almost the exact same thing a few weeks ago. I went to an Infectious Disease Doctor because that's what Dr. Blais advised me to do. He was a huge jerk. He kept looking at me weird and chewing on his fingers. I told him to call Dr. Blais and showed him the report and he just kept staring at me. I made a 2nd appt because I was sure that after talking to Dr. Blais, he would know what to do. When I went back, he told me he didn't call him! I said why? And he told me because he went on the Internet and found all the " studies " that prove that implants don't make women sick and blah blah blah. I left there crying too. He ordered a bunch of tests and did agree to order the Mycoplasma test, but I tore up the orders and didn't go back. These doctors are not there to help us. I don't know what they do, but they are of no use to us. I ended up going back to my gynecologist and he ordered the mycoplasma test. He'll order just about anything for me. I'm lucky to have him, but he's limited in what he can treat since he's a gyn. I hope you find someone that will help you. Guest guest
Shari sweetie don't feel too bad, we all have been there. You have every right to be angry but you cannot let this one bad experience or 20 if that is how many, let you get too down. I had the same experience, no one would test me for any of that crap either. I gave up and just started getting well enough on my own that I was happy and decided not to bother with it all. It is a personal choice but for me I just kind of let time and exercise etc take me to where I am today. If your set on further treatment, which for me meant going to an alternative doc which my ins would not pay, and you can fork out the $$$$ then Dr Kolb might be a good choice for you esp if you want treatment plans and detox and testing, i think she does all that stuff. That is why allot of women like her, and go to her, because she does take that extra step in her office that allot of the docs don't. I am not sure though about how much it costs. That and the fact that I got well enough to lead a normal life made me feel it was not worth the expense. Again though if you still feel you need further treatment, try an alternative doc, like Kolb. Most regular Docs are not going to help us, it is sad, but that is how it is. They are not even really to blame, it is because of their training, I know, I work around them. They believe what they are taught, they have tunnel vision. It is clearly something they do not want to deal with and since they have been told it does not exist, they refuse to open their minds to the possibility and fear of reprisal also causes this. So yeah Kolb or someone into alternative stuff is probably your best bet. Guest guest
--- I had a rheummy do the mycos test, any rheummy can do it.... I was told to see an infectious d.doc but declined, ...nobody wants to open up this " can of worms " when it comes to saline implants... Its amazing that these docs have the right to abuse us in this way... Ive gone thru hell w/docs also... make a complaint to the AMA if you can complain about any unprofessionalism... its hard though.. I tried to report a doc and it said that " being rude " is not considered a legite complaint... nice huh? consider the source and the ignorance,,, write him a letter about us girls and that he needs to get a clue and hit the research books and wake up.. love iggy... do not let these docs dictate your emotion, they are not deserving of it..... pray to let GOd guide you to a rheummy..... Guest guest
I heard that one too and then when I went to the psychiatrist he was dumbfounded and told me that I was not having mental problems that I sounded ill to him. He went and called the rheumy and then they sent me to another one and he was pretty nice. He would not say for sure that it was the implants, but he listened to me and said that it was my body and that if I felt that it was the implants, I would know better than anyone else. He said that he thought it was possible, but that it could be coincidence. In the end I went with my heart, and that was explant. hugs In , Colleen <cfortner@e...> wrote: > I had a rheumatologist tell me that implants do not cause illnesses and that > I needed to go to my psychiatrist and request more intensive psychotherapy. > > From: " Pam " <nannapam3103@y...> > Reply- > Date: Thu, 22 Apr 2004 18:52:47 -0000 > > Subject: Re: bad experience this am @ doc... > > > Shari, I am soooo sorry. Guest guest
Dear shari I am so so sorry. I can remember leaving more than one doctor office crying. and refusing to leave until one of them helped me. His solution:commit myself to the psych ward at the hospital!!! Stress is so harmful to our bodies and how can we ever destress when we fight this kind of crap. Don't give up. I know you won't!! Just realize that there is a lot you can do on your own. If you think you may have mycoplasma, try d lenolate. It kills mycoplasma and yeast and there is a respected rheumatologist in calilfornia who has been known to use it. I recommend EASt Park REsearch brand. Whatever you think you have, research it and find natural ways to combat it. that is pretty much what they will tell you to do anyway. THERE ARE NO MAGIC BULLETS. I have been to quite a few specialists over the years and I can tell you that they aren't that knowledgeable. Even those who have success only have it with some patients. I really have come to accept that we have to do our own detective work and be our own healer. I am still highly recommending theMaker's Diet by Jordin Rubin to give us insight into our bodies and great guidelines on how to turn around your health nutrition wise.
