Guest guest
Hi All, This is my first post here. My wife had a preemie baby back in January. She came 10 weeks early and was in the NICU for 6 weeks before we took her home. She got through the first few difficult weeks and is now about 3 weeks post due date and is doing great. She was actually delivered while we were away from home by emergency c-section. So, the hospital coerced us into getting the RSV shot before we left because we were scared to take such a small baby on a plane. They wanted to give her the hepB shot also and I said NO WAY! I am anti-vaccine all the way but wy wife is a little scared to not have any vaccines. She is slowly coming around though. I have a question about our pediatrician. We have a regular pediatrician. Are they called allopaths? He wanted to start the vaccines the first visit and we told him we wanted to wait just to get him to stop pushing. He gave us a little lecture on how he wouldn't give us anything he wouldn't give his own kids. I felt sorry for his kids. If he thinks that would persuade me, he is sadly mistaken. Anyway, during the last visit, they had me sign the vaccine refusal form and now I am finding out that I should not have signed that as it could be used against me later if my daughter gets one of those diseases. So, I found an alternate refusal form here. http://www.vaclib.org/letters/RefuseVaccines1.doc http://www.vaclib.org/letters/RefuseVaccines1.pdf We have to go for our next visit this Thursday and I'm thinking I could bring this alternate form and demand that they use this form and give me the other form which I will burn. Is this a good idea and is this alternate form good to use? Thanks,
