Guest guest
Does anyone know if a second dose of cp is required for school entry? Is it just a recommendation or is it required for 1st grade? I am a bit confused? My daughter had a chicken pox vacc. at 12 months old and I believe she may of had one last year when my son had one as well. I did not know about all the info. at that time. To my surprise it was not in her immunization record? She had a bizzare painful rash on her back under the arm pit that started as a cut. This happened last summer. It was about the time I believe they were both vaccinated for cp. I recall my daughter getting one too, but the record doesn't show it? The rash which appeared to be a staph infection according to her doc. turned out positive. I brought her to a dermatologist who asked me if she had a cp vaccine? I remember saying yes and then he said it looked like herpes(shingles). The pediatrician noted it as a staph infection and claimed her swab test came back from the lab positive. At the time I thought the dermatologist was crazy, and disagreed. No way could she have that! Now when I look at pictures of shingles, I realize, it looked just like what she had, and it was extremely painful for her. I am in a bad situation right now. I put my daughter's records in with a private school already, I wasn't told she will need anymore though, I would think I would be contacted? Her doctor said she was up to date? IWILL NOT GIVE ANOTHER CP VAX, ESPECIALLY IF TO MY RECOLLECTION SHE ALREADY RECEIVED A SECOND DOSE? Could they have made an error? I never wrote down if she received two doses or not either? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
It depends on what state you live in. You have to check that state's laws.
