I am sorry to hear of your plight.I have a friend who has a lab/pitt

bull mix that was rescued from a pound and it bit her neighbor's son!

He had stitches around his nose and eye. I like golden retrievers.

They are friendly and yet will bark if someone comes to the door. I

have a golden retriever/lab mix. Raised him as a puppy and he is very

obediant, friendly and mellow! Puppies need to be socialized with

other dogs and people. This helps with the " must protect my owner "

attitude. The only thing with pound dogs is you don't know how they

were raised or their true temperment.

The puppy stage is harder but then I can train the dog the way I want.

It's like having another child though. Good luck! Sandy

I know another Baker, but she lives in Washington state. I was

just wondering if you were she. (Was that proper English?)

ah. nope. It's a fairly common name, as it turns out. :) Am too tired

to be able to sort out if that was proper English or not. Embarrassing, as

I write for a living.

Yes, it was; although 'her' is very much used, the verb 'to be' should

be followed by 'he' or 'she'.

Instead of an 'object', it's called a 'complement'.

I know this is off topic but I am a little desperate.

My wife is currently breast feeding our daughter and just in the

last day or so she has developed a pink spot on one of her breasts

about an inch or so in diameter. She is going to the doctor tomorrow

just in case it is an infection or one is developing.

I'm afraid her doctor is going to give her antibiotics as all the

allopaths love to do and these antibiotics will get into the breast

milk.

So, my question is do any of you mothers out there know a natural

way to heal an infected breast if that's what it ends up being.

I have not yet convinced my wife that allopaths, for the most part,

should be avoided.

I'm still working on the " No Vaccines " angle with her. I have

convinced her to at least wait and avoid most of the vaccines. I

think she still wants to get the polio vaccine though.

Thanks,

Hi, I actually just wanted to comment about the polio vaccine part.

My sister's (who is pregnant) mom in law is the same, doesn't care if

my sis doesn't vaccinate as long as she gets the child the polio

vaccine. To me, after learning so much about vaccines, that just

seems silly since polio is not at all a threat here in the U.S. and

in most countries and really, polio is not even certainly a

communicable disease. Anyways, all polio in this country for many

years now, has been directly caused by the vaccine, seems the

greatest chance of getting polio would be by getting the vaccine. My

son't own first doctor (allopathic) was against me not vaccinating,

of course, however, agreed with me that the polio and hep B vaxes are

useless and unnecessary.
