Sleep meds...Sonata, L-Carnatine, etc.

I've seen lots of sleep meds mentioned. Can anyone tell me which

ones have worked best for them and what dose? I can't take anything

in the Serzone, Trazadone family and I can't take Ambien either. I

had hallucinations and skin crawling, head banging horrible reactions

to Serzone and years later Trazadone. I lost my job after 14+ years

because of my reaction to Serzone. I was so out of it I didn't get

out of bed until 3pm the next day and was fired for being AWOL!

I take Amitriptyline (Elavil) now - 125mg at night. I do sleep, but

I want to keep sleeping all day. I'm eating like a pig too! I know

that the ami is known to cause weight gain. I can't take Ambien

because it doesn't make me sleep, it makes me extremely (can I say

h*rny here?) It is like a date rape drug to me. I can take it and

go to bed and attack my husband with almost no memory whatsoever! He

would like me to take it on a regular basis, but along with the no

memory part, I don't sleep either!
