Guest guest
My unvaxed son is 2 1/2 and has never had an ear infection. His friedns, who are fully vaxed have ear infections quite often... one had TWELVE of them in the last year. His mom relayed that info to me last week when she called to say her kiddo couldn't come to our playdate yet AGAIN! Guest guest
And just to add, neither of my 5 unvaccinated kids have ever had an ear infection and I have always thought that it was because they were not vaccinated. Guest guest
At least with my sons, the ear infectins recurred because of repeated antibiotics. It's a horrible cycle to be in. What's worse, is I believe they weren't even truly infections. The antibiotics give the illusion they work because they suppress the symptoms, no matter if those symptoms are from allergies rather than infections. Of course, the " infections " come back. There was never any bacteria to kill. Plus, their ummune systems are now further compromised and they really do get sick. It's madness. Guest guest
I think that's true about no infection being there a lot of the time. I took my son to a homeopath when he had obvious irritation in his ears while teething. It wasn't an infection though, and she was able to treat it pretty easily. The irritation went away almost immediately (not even sure what remedy it was) and nothing has returned, ever. That was over a year ago. My friend's son, with the twelve ear infections this last year, has been on rounds and rounds and rounds of antibiotics... every time he comes down with an infection he gets a round, then he also had a round for surgery he had recently to repair a hernia. Insane! I can't get them to listen to me and scrap the antibiotics though. They're convinced that's the only thing that " cures " him every time. Guest guest
So these vaccines are cash cows for peds and pharms in more ways than one. First, the office visits to get the shots. Second, the office visits to get antibiotics for ear aches after they've been vaccinated. Hum. They've got a nice little thing going on I see. My 2 boys are both unvaxed and have never had ear infections. I was vaxed as a child and I had them fairly frequently. Once my eardrum even burst. > > > > Hi everyone! > > My baby is now 4 months old, so I was reading the " 4 month old " section on > > babycenter.com > > Well, here's one of the things that was written: > > > > > > Be sure your baby has had all her vaccinations, particularly Hib and the > > pneumococcal shots, which have been shown to reduce the incidence of ear > > infections. Guest guest
Yes, cash cows. That's exactly it. I'd like to believe it's not on purpose but it sure works out that way. I have to say, once our naturopaths got us on track, we haven't seen them in years. How do they ever make a living?? Must be by fixing all those broken by the allopaths.
