Urgent Action in NC TODAY

We need your help immediately!!   

Senator Purcell, the Chairman of the NC Senate Health Committee will not let our

bill be heard in front of his committee.  We met with him last Thursday, and he

will not budge. 

This means that HB 431, Phase Out Mercury in Childhood Vaccines, would die.  We

have worked on this legislation for 3 long years and finally passed the House

last June with a 100 to 7 vote. 

We cannot let this happen! 

This is how you can help: 

We are asking everyone to join us for a " call-in " and email campaign to get our

bill heard. 

We need each of you to call Senator Tony Rand tomorrow morning, Thursday, June

12th, starting at 9:15am and ask that the bill get reassigned to another

committee. 

This is what needs to be said: 

Ask to speak to Senator Tony Rand.  When they tell you he is not available and

would you like to leave a message say " yes " .  Tell them that since Senator

Purcell will not hear HB 431 in the Health Committee, you would like Senator

Rand to reassign it to the Appropriations Committee or sent to the Senate floor

for vote.   

We would like you to also email this request to Senator Rand and copy your State

Senator on the email.

We ask that when you call you do it in a very polite manner.  This will be so

helpful in the long run.  Many people will be calling in, so please be patient

We really, really, need your help. In honor of our injured children, please help

us stop mercury containing vaccines from being injected into NC babies and

pregnant women. 

Now is the time we North Carolinians force our legislators to do what is in the

best interest of the public not their pocketbooks.
