Guest guest
So I have printed out my birth plan along with a bunch of other froms from the VacLib site for my state - a refusal to vaccinate, an affidavit stating our religious examption, and something like a waiver called " Refusal to Permit Treatment " that can be filled in with whatever we refuse and says we understand the risks and benefits of the treatment (in this case, Hep. B, Vit. K, antibiotic ointment) and that we accept responsibility for whatever happens from not getting these done. This is what the VacLib site says to sign in lieu of the hospital's/AAP waiver forms for newborn procedures and other vaccines. However, this seems like we are accepting too much responsibility - shouldn't the form also say something about vaccinating being risky and us protecting our child by waiving these procedures?? I want to trust the form as I like the VacLib site but am really nervous of signing something I shouldn't. Guest guest
As much as I respect Ingri and vaclib site, I don't always agree with the forms that are there. I would never say that you understand the risks and benefits. You just say you are refusing. PERIOD.
