Guest guest
My name is and I'm a vet tech for a municipal animal shelter in central Texas. I'm 26 years old and have a basset hound, dsh orange and white tabby (cat), parakeet, ball python, new caledonian crested gecko and leopard gecko. I've been a vet tech for two years and those two years have been a very eye opening experience for me as far as allopathic medicine, nutrition and vaccinations in my pets goes (my animals are now treated homeopathically, raw fed a prey model diet and are no longer vaccinated). I know a lot about how vaccines impact my animals' health but I'd really like to know more about how vaccines impact human health, as well. I knew virtually nothing about human vaccines until a couple weeks ago when I purchased The Vaccine Guide by Randall Neustaedter (which is a GREAT book, btw!) which has now begun my journey into educating myself about human vaccines. Because of what I already knew about vaccinations in pets, I've elected to not vaccinate myself for rabies (which I have a very real possibility of coming into contact with due to the nature of my job) and my husband has elected to not vaccinate himself for his upcoming trip to India! By joining this list I hope to further educate myself for the sake of myself, my husband and my potential future children so I don't make the same mistakes with them that I made with my pets! Guest guest
Welcome . How wonderful that you and your husband are on the same page and that you have discovered the benefits of appropriate diet and homoeopathy before you conceive. I wishes were horses...[wistful sigh!] It will be a fine day when this group isn't necessary any more! Best wishes, Maracuja Join the Blue Ribbon Online Free Speech Campaign! Guest guest
Hi - I'm . I live with my husband and children in California. (I feel silly introducing myself as I have been posting and replying to others for several days now!) Anyway - I am so glad to have found this group. I have learned so much over the past few days. I have a friend with 2 vaccine damaged children. It is so obvious to me, yet she cannot stop vaccinating. It is so frustrating to watch. I'm from a family of 12 and the younger 7 were not vaccinated. I was partially vaccinated (until my parents learned better) I have really bad allergies and am miserable for 2-3 months every year. If there is a connection with vaccines and allergies and that is the only thing I save my children from having, I will be happy. My dad is an MD and said to me years ago that vaccines were harmful, but of course, I couldn't just take his word for it! (That would be too easy.) I only now am starting to appreciate what I have learned from him over the years. My 5 children range from 1 1/2 years to 7 yrs. My husband was originally against not vaccinating when we had our first child. We agreed to at least wait a couple of years before deciding. Over time, over lots of reading, seeing how healthy our kids are, he has softened. I still have to " defend " our decision to his family who feel like it is their mission in life to educate us. So I have made it my mission to " arm " myself with as much information as possible so I can properly defend our decision. I'm so tired of his whole family acting like we are crazy and selfish for not vaccinating. The main " thorn in my side " is my husband's brother. He is a research biologist who sends us 10 page emails (with all the same old blah blah defenses of vaccines) and more recently posted a Vaccine Research Paper on his blog! How boring is that?! We knew it was obviously for us, so we ignored it. We also are the only family (on his side)that has any notion of what a wholesome diet is. I'm hoping that some of my husband's younger siblings will start to ask questions as their babies start coming. I hope to be better prepared to answer questions. Just reading up on what you all have written, I feel like I already am. What a great resourse this group is! Guest guest
Hi! I am Niti from Michigan. I have a 5 yr old boy who is fully vaccinated, except for the chicken pox shots. He has eczema (since 4 months of age) and many food allergies. My younger son, who is 7 months old has not been vaccinated. I initially decided to delay his vaccines till he was 6 months old. My reasoning was that since the AAP advises delaying the introduction of solids till the child is 6 months (if have family history of allergies), the vaccines, which are in a cocktail of strong chemicals should be also delayed for a similar time frame. I happened to google vaccines just before his 6 month appointment and was totslly shocked by all the info I received. I wish I had known all this when my older son was getting his shots. I suspect the vaccines are directly or indirectly responsible for his eczema and allergies. I'm so glad I found this site, I am slowly going through all the information listed here. My younger son does not have any eczema so far. I have decided not to vaccinate him with most of the vaccines. But I am on the fence regarding 3 vaccines: the polio, diphtheria and tetanus vaccines, since the diseases are so severe. We are planning a trip to India next summer and these diseases are still prevalant there. We might cancel if necessary, but like my husband pointed out, the kids need to know and spend time with their grandparents and aunts/uncles. I would appreciate some advice on this. Has anyone taken their kids to a developing country where these diseases are still prevalent? We would be spending about 1 month over there and my son gets these shots, it will be when he is 1 yr old, one shot at a time. Thanks > > Hi all, > We have had 31 new members in the last 7 days ! Guest guest
Hi Niti, Not sure if this will help, but it may be worth a try. My oldest daughter (7 now)was never vaccinated but she still had exzema (not super bad). It went away completely about a year ago when I put her on Vit E supplement (one capsule a day) plus an a/d combination 2- 3x a week (just one) and cod liver oil every day. Not an exact amount - but then when it goes away, I stop giving her the e, a/d regularly - maybe just once a week. The cod liver I try to do at least 3 x a week regularly. When it starts to come back I go back to giving her more of the e, a, d. Along with C too. About the shots, read Sheri's articles. They just lower your overall immunity. > > > > Hi all, > > We have had 31 new members in the last 7 days ! Guest guest
Hi, Niti. Good thing you caught onto what undoubtedly is behind your older son's problems. As far the three vaccines you're on the fence about, realize that worry over those diseases does not mean the vaccines will work. However, the side effects of the vaccines can be very serious (all vaccines carry the risk of death) and are taken on immediately once you vaccinate. The bad effects of any disease are NOT taken on if you don't vaccinate. First, you have to be exposed, then you have to actually come down with the disease. Just something to think about. Guest guest
Thank you for your suggestions. My son takes a multivitamin (Rainbow light ) which has vit. E (10 IU). Does he need more than that? I would like to give him the cod liver oil as well, but am hesitant since his allergist has told to avoid fish (I think its a strong allergen). I can ask him to test for fish during his next allergy testing. > > > > > > Hi all, > > > We have had 31 new members in the last 7 days !
