Guest guest
Hi, I had smooth saline implants, under the musle. I had them removed thru the same incision that they were put in (nibble). I've read my surgery report and my PS made sure to take out all the scare tissue and even had to scap my rib cage. Because I had smooth implants after reading alot about it I felt pretty safe at having them removed this way instead of En Bloc. Had I had textured I would have done the en-block because the texture on the shell can shed. I did not have a lift, I decieded that if I felt I needed one I would get one later. My boobs filled out and are not wrinkley at all, just hanging a little low these days. looking down at them now and a baby would have no trouble at all grabbing on to my nibbles. hope this helps alittle. Love Cricket PS I think I remember someone on the group from the UK. Patty will know. > I know I'm new and I will probably repeat what has been asked many > times so let me know if I should not ask repeat questions! > > I read through all the links here, stories, and viewed all the > photos. Guest guest
Thank you, crickett! Helps tremendously. Sure is a creepy, antsy feeling once I realized I want them out NOW, yk? I've lived with these for almost five years and cannot stand one more second. > > I know I'm new and I will probably repeat what has been asked many > > times so let me know if I should not ask repeat questions! > > > > I read through all the links here, stories, and viewed all the > > photos. Guest guest
When I had my explant, I was so sick that my PS decided to do my explant surgery then wait until I healed and do the lift surgery (if we decided I needed one.) But I ended up not having a lift. I only have one breast and it is flatter than before implants, but not wrinkled or anything. You have to have the scar capsule removed when your implants are removed. The tissue can contain small-chain silicones from the shell of your implants. It's the best bet for recovery. I know I'm new and I will probably repeat what has been asked many times so let me know if I should not ask repeat questions! I read through all the links here, stories, and viewed all the photos. I also visited explantation.com and read all those stories and links. I saw Kaci's (MTV) story where it sounds like she had no breastlift after her implants came out at two years post op. And Kari, the actress, who had her implants for thirteen years before explant, didn't have a breastlift either. If I have an explant and do not want a breastlift at that time b/c I want to have every chance of breastfeeding another baby, is that do able? Is the wrinkling so significant most times that a baby couldn't latch onto that nipple? In Kari's story, her PS made an incision of half moon size at her aurole, same exact spot her implants were inserted and then pulled the implant out. I am assuming this means she didn't have an en bloc explant. He also 'wrung' out her breasts so that blood and pus came out of the drain hole at the armpit. Is that a common way to remove the implants? I am leaning toward this (I have read all the pros for en bloc) b/c again, I want to preserve as much breast tissue and nerve connections as possible for future babies. I found one link to a UK PS at explantation.com and of course, many US surgeons. Since I won't be back in the States for at least another two years, if anyone has good links for the UK PS who 'get it', I'd be very grateful. If I get pregnant again and have a rupture at that time, what happens? Can't have GA when pregnant and if I'm not pregnant but breastfeeding a baby, can't have surgery either so what do women do then? I cannot imagine a baby latching on when one has sutures. Thanks again for this space. I'm reeling mentally and feel very sick to my stomach. Bad mistake I made for sure. stephanie
