Guest guest
Maybe I'm wrong in thinking this anyway but if someone claims to support animal rights, is a spokesperson and in one sentence talks about animals rights and the next sentence says don't worry I'm safe I'm up to date on my shots/vaccinations. Wouldn't you consider that being a hypocrite. Unless they aren't uneducated on what ingredients are in vaccinations. Sorry for some reason this really bothered me and I know I can't vent about it on my Mommy groups. **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Find your travel deal here. Guest guest
Should of added sorry I wasn't clearer I was talking about PETA's views and human vaccinations. A spokesperson for PETA said she was up to date on all her vaccinations. They have a campaign against animal experimentation and I would think that would include using animals to create vaccinations.(washed sheep skins, monkey kidney cells and calf serum) Yet the Spokesperson said she just had a vaccination and was up to date on everything. **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go. Guest guest
It is, without doubt, a contradiction. Sadly, it is really no different than a parent of a child being passionate about administering vaccines (many of my friends…)! They simply do not know, have not taken the time to research, think that I’m the nut, and likely takes the doctor/veterinarian’s word as gospel truth. Now, if that same individual does NOT vaccinate their children, but vaccinates their *animal*, that is what really gets my goat, er…feathers ruffled, furrr-up, hmm, how about, panties in a bind! ~Chris _____ From: Vaccinations [mailto:Vaccinations ] On Behalf Of GranolaMama5@... Guest guest
Hmmm, it still sounds to me that she is horribly misinformed; again, taking the medical communities word that vaccinations are absolutely necessary for prevention. I would be interesting to know for certain if PETA”s campaign included the creation of vaccines, but my hunch says it doesn’t. I seem to recall a conversation, a few months ago, on an animal vaccine board, that discussed PETA as a force to be reckoned with. Some felt they were powerless, others vehemently disagreed…anyway to digress for a moment, it could be that this woman, though a spokesperson, may just be one of those people who jumps on the bandwagon of the latest ‘cause’, without truly thinking the issues through, and becoming well informed. I remember a you-tube video clip that my husband emailed me about a year ago…anyone will jump onboard some issues without doing any research…just as the folks on the video who were signing a petition to have “dihydrogen monoxide” banned…and people left and right were signing the petition for this chemical compound that *must* be banned from our environment…the petition was presented at an environmental-issue awareness fair of sorts. Hilarious really, just the fact that people were signing this petition to have this chemical compound banned, without knowing a thing about it. Anyone will get on board a *cause*! And for those of you who don’t know what dihydrogen monoxide is…well it’s H2O. yes, water. I would put this woman, whom you’ve mentioned, in the same category as the folks signing the petition to have water banned.
