administrating oral vit K drops

I was looking over the instructions of how to give the oral vit K

drops to our soon to be born grandson, when I read about how the

mothers should take the vit K too. I got different dosing info from

different sources. One said for the mom to take it before birth and

another mentioned taking it for 3 months daily after birth. I assume

they mean the moms can use these oral drops too.

Have any of you moms taken vit K before and after birth? If so, did

you use these oral drops? The oral vit K bottle has like 400 drops in

it and the baby will only need 4, so it would make economical sense

for the mom to use them too.
