Guest guest
Hello everyone! My name is Barb and I have two children, my daughter who is 11 and my son who just turned 8. Although my children were vaccinated when they were babies, I have now made the choice not to vaccinate them. My daughter thankfully does not appear to have had any serious effects from her vaccines. My son on the other hand had severe reactions (screaming bloody murder for hours) after the Prevnar and DTap vaccines. At that time, I had no idea how dangerous vaccines are. I attributed it to the new Prevnar vaccine and after the 2nd round of screaming, I refused the Prevnar vaccine. I didn't really notice anything different about my son until around 2 when he received his MMR and all of the other vaccines. I think I would have notices more symptoms, problems however I was going through a divorce at the time and was just trying to stay afloat. I look back at pictures now and can see how he changed from a happy loving child to mad and upset all the time. It wasn't until a few years later that I learned of the damage that vaccines can cause. It started when I began exercising when my son was 4. I began getting a metallic burning taste in my mouth. I went to my dentist – everything was ok…went to my Dr – he said it was acid reflux even after I told him I it felt like a 9 volt battery burning my tongue. I then turned to the internet and there is where I found that my fillings (at that time was over 15 of them) were poisoning me. Over the next few years I had my fillings removed, went through chelation (self treat-Dr Cutler's protocol) and am still healing. When I found out about the fillings, I also learned of the thimerosal in vaccines. I researched and found that my son at 5 different Dr appointments had been injected with anywhere from 75% TO 225% OVER the EPA's safe daily exposure limit for mercury. That would explain the rash of ear infections, asthma and sickness that he experienced during the past few years. My son is 8 now and although his health is much better now (no ear infections, asthma any more) we are still feeling the effects of the vaccines. He is a very emotionally sensitive boy who can go from sweet to vicious in a blink of an eye. He is really having a hard time controlling his emotions. I am hoping that it is something that he may grow out of. If not, I would love to learn how to self treat him as we are not able to take him to expensive holistic/naturpathic doctors. I am getting remarried next year and we are planning on having more children and I know one thing – no one will bring a needle anywhere near my children ever again. Thanks for reading my super long post and I really look forward to getting to know everyone! Barb
Guest guest
Hi, Barb--welcome! It's very smart of you to have figured this all out. Some people never put it together. I also have an overly sensitive son so know how frustrating it is. I suggest avoiding things that sensitive children are more vulnerable to--food dyes, aspartame, sucralose, sugar, stress... Make sure he gets a good quality multivitamin, fish oil, Vit. C and cal/mag supplements, frequent snacks (hypoglycemia?) and a lot of physical activity to let out stress, and sufficient sleep. Kids that can't control their emotions need a lot of patience, and depend on us to provide consistent structure more than other kids do--especially in a school setting. Despite the expense, I think it's critical to get the help of a good alternative doc, especially a homeopath, for these kinds of kids. You don't want to go it alone. It will be cheaper in the long run in so many ways. Winnie Hello Everyone! - New Member here Vaccinations > Hello everyone! Guest guest
Winnie, We have already removed artificial sweetners, etc and I don't usually let them have a lot of soda or really sugary snacks. We have slowly been migrating over to organic foods and all natural plant based cleaners, etc to reduce any toxins. I guess we are doing as much as our budget can handle and adding things little by little so it is not such a big impact. As for a homeopath, perhaps I am assuming the cost is more that it really is. May I ask how much on average a visit is? I would love to be able to take them to a homeopath/naturpath but I keep thinking it is really expensive. Thanks for the warm welcome!
