I guess this might be a tricky question, but here goes anyway:

Do ladies who have had en-bloc removals, fluff less/more/the same as non-en-bloc ladies ? I wonder what the body fills those cavaties with, fat cells ? Or do the existing fat cells just decompress or expand with time ? I have often wondered if this is not the reason why we almost always fill out around hips/thighs etc when we get older, maybe the skin losing elasticity leaves more space for existing fat cells to expand a little more ?

It's 7 days for me since explant, I haven't had much of an appetite lately, so not eating much, and I noticed that my weight is dropping but body fat % is going up....what's with that ?Or am I losing muscle somehow ? It's weird....my jeans feel a bit looser around the waist/hips, so I don't know.....time will tell I guess. Having stitches out today, hoorray, can finally have a decent bath and not have to be so careful about them :)))BTW, I can only see 1 stitch under each breast...is this possible ??!!

Love and hugs to you all, wishing each and every one of you a pain free day !

Re: need help w/ doctor decision

Shari,

I didn't go to Dr. Kolb. I didn't spend thousands either. I didn't get mine removed en bloc. I was and still am happy with my results. He did a great job and it all went well. He removed the capsules, just not enbloc and gosh was I ever so sore from him scraping me out. I healed pretty nicely though. Flat at first like a flat tire, but they have refilled. I'm not huge, but I'm a 34C padded bra now. I didn't need a lift either, if I had needed one I don't even know if I would have done it. I just wanted the implants out and to move on. Many women here have had enbloc and are so thrilled with that.

Check all your resources and call as many docs so your bases are covered. I couldn't see spending thousands either. I just couldn't justify it. The ball is in your court once you get all the info. Really it is all about who you are comfortable with and trust, I personally feel. Its such a personal decision, just like getting the implants. What size, amt etc?. I was scared too like crazy, but in my gut I kept feeling I should go to this guy and it all worked out okay for me. He didn't give me emotional support nor spend hours stroking my hand comforting me. He just removed them. I like to say I needed him for his skill only, then I could get my support elsewhere. He did everything I asked, but I didn't tell him they were making me sick either. I simply told him I wanted them out because I didn't want them anymore because they were too big and too heavy.

I do agree with everyone here to get the capsule out. Getting all the extra testing on the implants etc. is costly, but it depends on what your intentions are.

hope I could help,

hi everyone - I have decided after the nightmare appt w/the infectious disease spec last week that i need to make an appt to see someone that I know for sure can help me and order tests to get to the bottom of my illnesses and help w/ my disability case also. It looks like Dr. Kolb is the closest - about 8 hours away. I know there are mixed views on different docs here but I was wondering who she has helped and how?? good - bad - whatever. I am going to self pay and don't want to make a trip just to have someone look at me... i want tests & proof & options for healing, etc. Not to sound like a freak here but i am tired of paying so much for doctor visits and getting no where - I don't mind traveling if I know for sure I will get helped. Please let me k now asap as I have got to do something before I go nuts!! i was also thinking of bringing my son in for testing, too...thanksloveshari

Fiona,

I would not worry too much about the body fat percentage going up,

especially when it is just over 7 days, it probably has to do with

the amount of water in your body since you have not been eating very

much. Especially if it is one of those cool scales, they are not

very accurate for minute by minute or day by day, they are mostly

used for seeing it go up or down over time, and the number changes by

the amount of water in your body. I am very happy that your pants

are feeling looser! Just love that feeling and forget the other thing

for now!

Don't know about the fluffling thing, sorry. Hope you are doing

well, I know you feel wonderfully after having those things out!

Fiona I would think that fluffing depends on many factors. I never

really fluffed up much but I did get a little bigger, fuller, not

much, I am still really small but very firm and perky. I have the

breasts of a teenager and that makes me happy. I also don't have much

body fat so my breasts are small. But I do wear an A and sometimes in

some bras even a B so that is pretty cool. I think if they leave the

capsules in you, you might end up being larger than if they take it

all out, but that does not necessarily mean that it had to be enbloc.

For gel implants though I would not ever recomend removal without it

being enbloc, I mean the risk of spillage is too dangerous. Anyhow

sounds like your all done with explant so it really is all over now

anyhow.

If you had small breast before and are relativly the same body

size/weight you were than i expect you will be the same size, unless

you have gained weight or lost weight. If the explant was done right

they don't remove any breast tissue at all, Dr Feng said they only

remove skin and I was happy to have that gone.

Good luck and glad your feeling better so soon. It did not work like

that for me, took me awhile to feel allot better but it was worth it.

Some women find that they feel initially better than slide back a bit

and then continue on to improve, but everyone is different. Your very

lucky to feel this good so soon. Were you very ill?

Thanks for the reply , I was delighted today to discover that one of my old B bra's can be made to fit over my smaller size and helps a bit w. size because of it being padded, so we're getting there. I was quite ill, especially the weeks prior to explant....yuck !Better now, got tired 2day, but I think I might b having pms fatigue.
