Guest guest
Hi e, We can get the MMR vaccines separately from Hopewell Pharmacy in New Jersey. Their #s are: 609-466-1960 800-792-6670 We ordered Mumps and Rubella a couple of months ago but not measlesles - but I am sure you will get it there. The total for Mumps & Rubella came to about $77 and the insurance covered it. Archana MMR vaccine Does anyone know how to obtain the MMR vaccine as separate innoculations? My pediatrician, who is also my friend, informed me that the health department posted an advisory regarding the appearance of several measles cases in South Texas and numerous cases in Mexico. She is advising me to give the vaccine to my 2 1/2 year old son, who is NT. I have a 4 1/2 year old son with autism who had the vaccine and we had decided not to give it to our younger son but he is in a mother's day out program. Our friend feels like the risk is too great and since he is developing normally, we should go ahead and give it to him. I have many reservations but don't want to put him at risk of getting a life-threatening disease. Any information would be appreciated. e Kingwood, Texas Texas Autism Advocacy Unlocking Autism www.UnlockingAutism.org Autism-Awareness-Action Worldwide internet group for parents who have a child with AUTISM. Guest guest
My little girl is getting ready to turn 1 and at her 1 year appt I will be starting selective immunization. I have a 3 year old that I completely vaccinated. Then when my little girl started reacting mildly to vaccines, I started researching more. She is a tiny little thing, which is maybe why I am seeing more of a reaction with her. Anyways, at her 1 year appt I have decided to forgo most of the vaccinations, but the one I am really struggling with is the MMR vaccine. I am scared to get it, but I am just as scared not to get it. Can anyone provide me with their knowledge of this vaccine--why or why not to get it? If you did not get it, do you worry about your child not being vaccinated? Thanks for your help! Guest guest
Hi, Sommer. The MMR is an extremely risky vaccine. Many parents believe their children's autism began after the MMR shot. One can believe these thousands and thousands of parents, who like yourself, know their children. Or you can believe those who make money from selling vaccines. Good of you to research it first. Other parents, myself included, have children who did not become autistic, but other major problems arose. My son was healthy until 10 days after his MMR--then sudden asthma/allergies and years of poor health, stress and financial expense (least important, obviously). What's worse, it was for nothing because VACCINES DON'T WORK. So, no reason to fear not getting them. If you fear the diseases, then you still should fear it only now you have to worry about vaccine damage, too. I don't worry about my children not being vaccinated at all, over fifteen years and four children. I know why people are scared of diseases, but I am curious as to why are you scared of the vaccine. You should be, but I'm just asking. Winnie MMR vaccine Vaccinations > My little girl is getting ready to turn 1 and at her 1 year appt > I will > be starting selective immunization. Guest guest
That's right, diabetes. A friend of mine's son was diagnosed with it when he was four. This was 25 years ago. I know she vaxed him and I wondered at the time (not knowing anything about vaccines or children, for that matter) why a four-yr-old would suddenly become diabetic.
