Guest guest
www.thoughtfulhouse.org/0405-conf-bjepson.htm Conference Presentations: Jepson, MD " Can low glutathione create problems with environmental toxicity? Most of the time ER doctors leave biochemistry to the internists, but glutathione is important in the emergency room because of Tylenol overdoses. Tylenol is a very safe molecule unless you take too much. It is metabolized in your body by glutathione. Our body renders the Tylenol metabolite nontoxic and then we excrete it. If you have taken too much Tylenol and it overcomes the store of glutathione in your body, you can no longer metabolize the Tylenol, it becomes toxic, kills your liver, and then you die. The treatment for a Tylenol overdose in the ER is to administer a precursor to glutathione called N Acetyl Cysteine. Tylenol is just one example, but if you are already low in glutathione it’s going to take a lot less of any toxin to cause trouble. This makes sense. It explains why our children are particularly vulnerable to environmental toxicity, even with toxins that are relatively safe for other people. Guest guest
#1 - so many cases pain relief is not needed. They are used like candy. Children don't have to have every little ache and pain taken away. #2 Motrin isn't good either None of them are The right homeopathic remedy will reduce fever and pain Don't use cooling baths. http://www.thoughtfulhouse.org/exploring-the-biomedical-issues-of-autism.pdf http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FDN/is_4_7/ai_91155402/pg_10 http://www.mercurylife.com/mercurylife/chelating_out_of_the_darkness/index.h tml http://oklachiropractic.com/index.php?name=News & file=article & sid=14 Dangers of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) by Dan , DC http://www.addl.purdue.edu/newsletters/1998/spring/acet.shtml Tylenol (Acetaminophen) Toxicosis in Cats (this is about cats but concept the same) http://www.lef.org/protocols/appendix/otc_toxicity_01.htm Acetaminophen and NSAID Toxicity http://www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic819.htm +tylenol+glutathione depletion google on +tylenol+glutathione +tylenol+glutathione depletion >Motrin/ pain & fever or use - Willow bark ( herbal) for headache. >Cooling baths and cold drinks. Guest guest
I get sick to my stomach every time I hear what Tylenol does. Our pediatrician told us at my son's very first visit that he would get shots at every well visit to age two and that we should give him a dose of tylenol starting with when he woke up the day of an appointment and continue for 24 hours after the shots. I did that thinking trusting they had my son's best interests at heart. It only made matters worse. KerrieSee what's free at AOL.com. Guest guest
We delayed for 6 mths. We got the regression without using Tylenol. initial symptoms weren't considered bad enough to require meds. However, he had already been drugged with merbentyl supposedly for pyloric stenosis [misdiagnosed]. Cautions - not to be used while pregnant, BF or in children under 6 mths! Like any drugs, it should have had a label, reading not for human or animal consumption, please dispose with extreme care! After 96 hrs encephalitic screaming and big fat seizure he was given baby equiv of valium! God knows what else went into that IV tube over the next week! Worse, I was expressing as not permitted to stay in with baby, and the rotten people gave him formula! After 3 days of maternal tantrums they let me stay in! Probably have MOTHER FROM HELL all over his files. I wonder if there is a corrilation between giving a child tylenol (which like you said depletes glutathione) after vaccines and then the child regressing.. ..hmmmm?? ?? That will be one of the questions I would ask. I don't think it has even been looked at other than by us. Guest guest
A couple of years ago, I ran across a journal article while I was searching through Medscape that talked about the use of acetaminophen and ibuprofen to reduce fevers, and how this was affecting child development, because the brain needs an occasional fever to mature. I didn't bookmark it at the time, which was a huge mistake, because it seems to have been swallowed into a vortex somewhere. I can't find it anywhere. Too bad. It was great stuff. Guest guest
Yes to all of that!!!! It pays off sometimes. DS#2 had, " Very polite, articulate 14 yr old, asks intelligent questions but non-compliant. " The part I loved the best was " non-compliant " . We managed to have family with him around the clock, but if we hadn't been able to, I know he would have done the best possible to hold his own.
