A $2-million grant to study WHAT???

Researchers at <http://www.moffitt.org/>Moffitt Cancer Center in

Tampa have been awarded a $2 million grant to study Gardasil.

They will try to determine how often doctors recommend the vaccine

used to protect against HPV, the virus that causes cervical cancer.

The study will last until 2012.

You would think that grant money could better go towards studying the

SAFETY of Gardasil or its LONG-TERM effects, not how often doctors

recommend it. But, NO!! This sounds more like a marketing study for

Merck, to me, anyway. Guess who is footing the bill for this study?

Merck? NO!! YOU FOLKS ARE!! ( " federal financing " ) Do you really want

to see your government's funds being spent on studies of this ilk?
