Hello -

My name is Beth and I am mom to two beautiful children ages 7 and 4.

My younger, Zachary, has Down Syndrome and significant speech

delays. He uses sign language primarily to communicate and his

vocabulary is sooo limited. He receives services through our school

and has improved over the last year. My question is in regards to

Pro-EFA and other dietary supplements. What research is available on

this? And those who have used it, what kinds of affects does it have

on your children, both positive and negative? Thanks

The various websites do have information regarding the fish oil supplements. Go

to http://www.apraxia.cc and click on the link for this. The study was done and

as far as can be seen, only positives for this. Progress isn't that fast, but

it still definately shows.

good luck

Hi JoAnn

Where are you from? I am so sorry that you are sick and had to join

us. But you are right, we have become friends because we share so

much. Since I joined this group I have learned so much in how to

take care of my self. You are right about having to get your

implants out. The only way you will start to get better is to get

those toxic bags out of you. I was explanted one year ago this month

and I can honesty tell you that I am 90% better. Lets us know where

you are from and someone on the group can help you find the right

ps to remove your implants.

Dr Lu Feng would be my first choice, she is in Cleveland Ohio,

other than that there are a handful I would trust. Some of the others

can help you. In my opinion though, if you want to get a lift too,

Feng is the absolute best.

Dr. Huang also does internal stitching to help prevent you having to have a

lift also. She says 80% of women do not need one, and it is additional

thousands.

BUT IF YOU DO NEED A LIFT NO ONE DOES IT BETTER THAN DR FENG!I have

not seen so many photos of Dr Huang patients and have seen literally

tons of Fengs. Feng did Iggy and she did not get a lift. I do not

think Dr Feng does lifts unless they are needed, in my CASE if you

look at my before and afters it is extremely obvious I needed a lift.

I hate to say this but alot of the women I have seen that have been

explanted in my own opinion would have benefited from a lift. The

scars go away and your left with nice perky breasts. I see nothing

wrong with getting a lift to improve how you feel about yourself.

PS I was not necesarily speaking of anyone on this group, but I have

seen some photos over on explantation.com that I thought how nice

they would have came out had they gotten a lift. Saggy breasts can be

fixed without implants.

Hugs

PS Dr Feng also uses internal disolvable stitches, she uses

opthamology tools to cut and this is also the only PS I have heard of

that uses those along with very thin sutures (the size of a hair)

that is tiny, with beveled cutting of the skin so that the skin lays

flatter and less chance of raised scars. I have no visible scarring.

, Do you have anything against Dr. Huang. It sure sounds like

it. She was trained by the same people, does the same work and is

thousands less. And she is an expert at doing lifts. Bashing our great

doctors in not a good thing.

wow i NEVER BASHED ANYONE ooops caps on sorry. I just happen to feel

that I got superior results and that I have seen more work (photos)

of Dr Fengs work. I never bashed anyone. Why are you so sensitive on

this issue.

I am not going to change my opinion, Dr Feng is the best, she may

charge more cause she is worth it.

Dr Huang does support 's implantinfo and that does bother me.

But I have no problems with her surgical skills, I just feel a doctor

who is the best is what Dr Feng is. Having been to her and having the

excellent results that I did, she is the only one I honestly will

ever recomend. I am sorry if you do not agree with me. We all have

our opinions, so maybe try to respect mine.

thanks

I am sensitive to the women who need to have implants out and do not have

tons of $$. And every time I recommend Dr. Huang you seem to try to

dissuade everyone from going to her. She is wonderful and extremely

talented. And costs thousands less.

I am a social worker, and always for the underdog. And poor women and

women without insurance sometimes cannot afford $6000 for explant. Just by

what you posted, you did it again. Dr. Feng is great, others are also. No

one is THE BEST. That is making a judgment, and we just should not be

doing that. We should be open-minded and allow women to make their choices

by who is closest, who is least expensive (if that is a factor, and is not

for all women) and who is good at what they do.

If you think I am sensitive, you just keep pushing that the office supports

that website. It is like you have to run it into the ground. Dr. Huang is

extremely good, and is kind, helpful and spends much time explaining

procedures. She is reasonably priced.

If you feel you have to continue bashing her about her office being on some

website, then no-one will dissuade you. But you may end up keeping some

woman from going to a very good doctor and end up going to someone who does

not do it right by trying to scare them off. It is not a good idea.

I have seen photos from both, they look identical. Both came and did

conferences for me and others who put them on. I refer to both. And I

will continue to do so. Hopefully without bashing the other in the process.

Lynda,

I think it behooves us to keep in mind that recommendations for

doctors are just that....recommendations. I think it is overly

dramatic to state that " she just cannot tolerate anyone sending

anyone to any doc but Feng. " We all know ...she's been around

a long time and we know how enthusiastic she is for her doctor and

for her exercise program. That's just .

All I am saying is let's be affirming, not eager to repudiate or

refute. Let's be yielding and seek to find common ground rather

than being pointedly confrontational. Let's be in agreement where

we can, yet ready to agree to disagree with grace.

We really do need each other and need to find that common ground

because healing is what it is all about, and argumentative posts are

not contributory to that end. If further discussion is needed,

private posts are preferred.

(Thanks!)

The area of the country makes a difference in cost. And you just have to

realize that some people can be hit in the head and not see that there are

many qualified, and she is just one of those who are. We have at least one

in TX., one in FL., one in Atlanta, one in San Diego, etc. We refer to

all. It is sad that judgments are made without knowing all the facts, and

being a social worker, I try to look at all the facts. Some do not. So,

you just have to take the controversy with a grain of salt and let it

go. I may do my referrals off the group as some would cut any referrals

down. That seems counter-productive and hurtful, and I just do not

understand it.

Lynda there is something def mean spirited in your posts to me and I

do not appreciate it or see the point. I mentioned my experience and

my outcome as positite things, and being that I was extremely poor

and had to borrow the money to get my explant I am certainly not rich

and that is not why I went to Dr Feng. I did not say ONE thing prior

to the last email regarding Dr Huang good or bad. I will agree that I

mentioned her being involved in a site that I and others agree is not

very honest. I am still puzzled why Dr Huang wants her name out there

on that horrible website. I have a very good friend that used to post

here and her photos are on this site, under Dr Huang patient, and she

looks fabulous and I agree that she does a good job. She did the same

exact type lift on this girl that she did on me and they both look

equally awesome. I cannot however, change my feelings they are

extremely strong, and passionate, about Dr Feng, because of the

wonderful, caring nature she treated me with. I cannot say how any

other Dr is and I am not in any way bashing ANY DR ON THIS SITE. SO

please stop saying that about me, it is not at all fair. By saying

that in MY OPINION DR FENG IS THE BEST, is just that, MY OPINION, it

is not bashing anyone or anything, so please please stop trying to

make me out to be a bad person, or that I am saying bad things.

I do not like the fact that Dr Huang advertises on Implantinfo, and

it saddens me that she does so, It makes me question her motives,

does she need the money that bad that she needs to advertise for

implants? I mean that is a question I think is reasonable to ask if

your a potential patient. But if that does not matter to anyone,

again, that is their own option. I think that there are probably

allot of prices out there even lower than Huang's and that probably

do a fine job. I have not recently compared prices since my explant

is long behind me now I have not really thought much about that. I

mean I can only do so much I am really here to help women with my own

experience and story. I do not know much about your surgeon or if it

was Huang or why you feel so strongly about her, other than your own

opinions regarding her prices or her skill. Again that is your right

to feel the way you do regarding her. I have never said anything to

you or accused you of bashing my Dr so why do you acuse me of these

things? What is it that makes you so mad because I had a great

experience with a wonderful Dr other than the fact that you think she

is too expensive?

If you visit explantation.com the majority of the photos are of Feng

patients, not all of them but many of them, and along with that and

the help of Ilena Rosenthal and tons of other wonderful women I was

guided to Dr Feng and feel she uses really special techniques, being

in the medical field I know that she does use really awesome methods

to do her surgeries. I am sorry that it upsets you, I don't know what

else to say and I dont have any axes to grind with you or Dr Huang, I

agree that if your in the Denver area she is a good choice. I have

nothing against her. Your putting words in my mouth and I don't

appreciate that and am asking that you respect me and stop saying

nasty things about me please.

I love Dr Feng and in my opinion I still feel she is one of the best

without a doubt. To me she is special, maybe because she not only

saved my life and helped me get well, but she supported me all the

way along, and gave me beautiful shaped perky little breasts that

have invisible scars.

I feel extremely blessed that I was able to go to her and wish luck

to those who are trying to find a surgeon. I would say that Huang is

a great option to those in a position to get to her.

I never ever would say she is not a good surgeon.

Thank you

Lynda you seem to have a personal problem with me. I don't know what

I have ever done to you, but please if you have a problem with me

email me, don't broadcast it here. It is really mean.

I love my Dr for giving me back my life, but there are other Drs that

are good. I never EVER said anything, NOT ONE BAD THING ABOUT DR

HUANG SURGICAL SKILLS EVER.

You have really hurt my feelings and made me feel really like crap

and I hope that makes you think about what your motives are.

I am sorry you think I am such a terrible person because I love my

PS, for saving my life.

I am not posting to you. And I thought all the posts were off line.

If you would just not create a stir when someone recommends a doctor, none

of this would ever happen.

There are more than one capable and excellent plastic surgeons.

I am just not going to read any of your posts unless you have something

positive to say.

Lynda my post was very very positive, just not about any other Dr

than the one I went to because being a patient and working in a

hospital I dont feel very comfortable recomending anyone I have not

gone to. That is just my professional opinion. I know women who have

been to all different PS's on this group and else where and have had

good and bad experiences. I feel it is only fair for me to speak of

my experience with my ps. That does not mean I am knocking anyone

else.

I have repeatedly said that I think Dr Huang is a very good option

for many woman, as is Mehlmed, Kolb, Darrow, Lee, etc. They all have

been mentioned as good PS's. My personal experience with Dr Feng is

all I can really speak about.

I am sorry if you feel that is negative or bashing. I feel it is just

being honest.

I just want to say that all doctors can have less than great

results. I went to Dr. Feng and was not happy with the way things

turned out. I was very flat and she said that I didn't need a lift

or anything other than explant. It turned out that my skin was too

stretched and now I have saggy skin (like little bags) beneath where

my real breasts end. I was disappointed as she showed me pics of

how she said I would probably look and it didn't happen. I will

probably return someday to see what can be done to make this look

better but that doesn't alter the fact that now I will need an

additional surgery to correct this (if surgery will make it look

better and I am pretty sure it will). So for me, I can't say that

Dr. Feng is the best. However, she seems to be really good and I

would certainly never discourage anyone from going to her. She is

very competent and I am sure that she did an excellent job on

explantation. But I was definitely not pleased with my results

cosmetically. , you were very upset when I mentioned this a

couple of years ago because you said that might dissuade someone

from getting explantation or using Dr. Feng. I apologised to you

via email and haven't mentioned anything since. But I feel in all

fairness when you say that she is the best and the only one you will

recommend, that I should point out that she is only human and has

her less than shining moments also. I have no problem recommending

her to others and have never discouraged anyone from going to her

because I am sure she is very good even if in my case she made an

error in judgement about not needing anything done. But how can you

say that she is the absolute best and better than Dr.Huang since you

are aware of the problem I had with my cosmetic result? Certainly I

have no problem with you saying that she did a terrific job on you--

and others, but insisting that she is the best is subjective at

best. As lynda pointed out, there are many

competent surgeons that are recomended on this site.

I am only saying this now because I have been quiet a very long time

on this subject and each time that Dr. Feng has been touted as the

undisputed best, I felt a little twinge inside because I didn't have

the wonderful experience that you did and yet was soundly chastised

for mentioning it. I think we need to be aware that sometimes

doctors do really good work, and sometimes it is less than

spectacular. I hope someday to have the money and time to return

and see if maybe I can't be the one to receive the spectacular

results next time. Then maybe I won't be embarrassed to post my

pics on this website. I hope this doesn't cause any controversy, I

just needed to get this off my chest because I just don't think it

was fair to ask me to be silent about my experience with Dr. Feng

and yet everyone else is allowed to talk about their experiences.

Please don't be angry with me. I just need to

set the record straight from my own experience.

Blessings, kathy

Yes, you are the second woman who has told me this. Nobody is perfect,

that is for sure. But I do believe that her heart is in the right place

and that she truly wants to help us get better if we are ill. It is a

shame that she and all the others still put implants in also. But, they

are plastic surgeons, and there is a lot of call for that.

It is not me that said she is the only one I recommend (that was ),

as I recommend at least 6 ps to women, depending on where they live. I

truly love Dr. Huang, as she did surgery on my daughter and she has helped

women with Medicaid and worked with insurance companies to help get removal

covered. She is just a wonderful person.

I have referred many women to Dr. Feng and they have been quite happy with

the results. I suppose there will always be women who are not happy with

their results. It is inevitable if you do a lot of these surgeries.

Since you did not get a lift ( i don't understand exactly why she did

not do one but I thought you said you told her you did not want one)

maybe I am confused, however I agree that even the best plastic

surgeon is not infalable. I ALSO NEVER SAID ANYWHERE AND YOU CAN LOOK

AT ALL MY POSTS I NEVER EVER SAID DR FENG IS BETTER THAN HUANG never

said it, and frankly am tired of being quoted saying something I

never said. MY OWN WORDS WERE TO ME IN MY OPINION DR FENG IS THE

BEST. That is still my opinion based on my experience and the others

that I know who have been to her. She is not perfect, but she sure

made my boobs look good. Can I please ASK PEOPLE TO STOP SAYING THAT

I SAID THINGS I NEVER EVER SAID? it is really growing tiresome. I am

sorry if that is how my post came off, but once more I NEVER SAID SHE

IS BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE, just that to me, she is the best, based

on the amount of other peoples experience, combined with MY

EXPERIENCE. Others may not like what she does. I cannot speak for

your situation and I am sorry that you did not like the way

your surgery came out. I did encourage you to inquire to her, along

time ago, regarding a lift, which is what it sounds like may be your

issue, though again I DO NOT KNOW, i can only state my experience.

For this I have taken allot of heat on here, I tried my best to stay

cool, be sorry etc, but apparently I am going to contine to be

chastised because I had a great experience with a wonderful Dr.

I have heard unhappy patients from almost every Dr on our list, and

allot of happy ones too. No one is perfect and your absolutley right

to be upset if your unhappy with your sagging breast tissue. My

question again, is why you never spoke with her esp sooner, about

this issue. I feel if it was somthing that bothered me I would have

been on the phone immediately and asked her what the deal was and why

I did not come out the way I was told I would. Then I would address

the issue and find a way to make it right. You mention a second

procedure, allot of us did in fact have 2 procedures, only they were

done at one time. Had I not gotten a lift I know I would look scary

right now, so yeah I usually really stress to explant seekers, to get

a lift. I know allot of women opt not too, and if Dr Feng thought you

would not need one, but in fact you do, I can't help but feel she

would have been willing to make this situation right if you had

spoken with her about it, maybe I am wrong.

I really have tried HARD to convey that i am only sharing my

feelings, my opinion, my experience, I have posted photos to show my

surgical results and maybe others don't think they are that great, to

me they are and as a result of that and of how I have gotten my

health back, I feel Dr Feng is the only surgeon I would personally

have gone to had I had to do it all again. I went in already knowing

I wanted and needed a lift, so there was no question or if's about

it. Again Kathy I really feel bad that you seem anrgy about my

sharing my opinions. I really was praying so much that there would be

no more accusations against me, and again and again I am sorry that I

said something so terrible as to recomend my surgeon and say she was

the best

I still feel that she is the best, based on several things, amount of

people I know who went to her and are happy and the photos I have

seen, and my experience. I am glad that you are able to share a

negative aspect because it does happen with all the ps's I have ever

heard of there is at least one unhappy person.

on the other hand if you don't try to talk to her to see what she

thinks or is willing to comprimise or work a solution, then that is

your choice, but living with less than optimal results, is not

something you have to do. I would not do it. I would have tried to

get her to fix me if she had messed me up.

I am sorry Kathy, if you feel that you need to place blame on me,

that is ok, I mean that is the risk I run by recomending any surgeon,

which is A BIG reason I don't recomend anyone other than the one I

went to. AND EVEN THEN things may not be perfect.

I also think that I said Fengs lifts were superior in my opinion, but

the girl who posted her lift by Dr Huang had awesome results too, so

hey, maybe she does amazing work also, again, I never ever questioned

her surgical skills. EVER. So it is hurtful to be continually raked

over the coals for recomending my Dr.

I am sorry once again. I really am.
