everyone

since Patty brought it up I thought i would mention something i have recently learned from my eye doc. i wear contacts and have for 10 years - she wanted to change this last go around to a new style by my mfg - acuvue. I have seen the advertisements showing water going through them - supposedly breath better, etc. well I asked what was different about them and she said they are making these form silicone and they are better - NOPE - not for me. (after giving her the look of death). I said NO WAY and told her why & she understood. GIRLS - Be careful as some brands are silicone... ask your doc before you buy them!!!

thanks shari

Yikes, BJ, another silicone hit for you, darn thosethings! Don't they require some kind of maintenance?I wish you didn't need them...and the fact that theyare silicone just is not a good thing. I wonder ifthere is anything else you can do?Do your eyes get inflammed and red?Patty

They need no maintenance because they are placed deep in the tear duct...i know when i think of that, that tiny hole holds something magical at this point for me to let me see better.....i wish i didn't need them but they tried everything else...drops don't work....my eyes were pretty bad for a long time, gritty, red, inflamed always itchy couldn't see.......stuff coming out of my eyes all the time...with this i have no problems what so ever, maybe its a different kind of stuff????who knows......lol love ya BJ
