Guest guest
Hi Folks, I think our years of working is starting to pay off. Right now the New York Times has two articles on its website that shows they are beginning to temper their mindless promotion of any claim made by the vaccine industry. This is important because the NYT sets the agenda for much of the rest of the media's news coverage. One article reported fairly on the recent study that shows the flu vaccine is ineffective in older people. These studies come out from time to time, the difference here is that Times reported on them fairly and did not promote the knee-jerk statement predicting mass deaths in the streets if we even think about altering vaccine policy. <http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/02/health/02flu.html?ref=health>http://www.nytim\ es.com/2008/09/02/health/02flu.html?ref=health There is also an article an critical of the mindless promotion of gardasil we saw in the corporate media when it first came out. <http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/08/29/blaming-the-media-for->http://well.blo\ gs.nytimes.com/2008/08/29/blaming-the-media-for- gardasil-hype/ These articles would not have been even thinkable in the Times two years ago. I can't help but the constant questioning we are doing is having an effect. We are providing the cover for honest researchers to start getting their work done and acknowledged, and we provide cover for editors and reporers to stat writing on the huge problems with the current vaccine regime. The Times is the top of the establishment corporate media food chain. And I can't help but think two articles in one week is indicative of something going on.
