Guest guest
Below I have pasted the response to my communication with the Obama campaign. While it is unrealistic to expect individual responses from a campaign platitudinous responses such as these are not persuasive at all. How precisely will Mr. Obama help when " your child gets sick. " That is the question we all, think, would like answered. I mean that in all sincerity. Our children have become devastatingly sick and our lives have been all be dismantled as a result. We know that the Bush administration failed to do anything that would help when " your child gets sick. " How will the Obama or McCain administrations be different. Saying " we will help " means nothing. It is an empty verbal gesture. I am not anti-vaccine but I do know that my children have not done well with vaccines, to make a gross understatement. I want the option to choose whether or not to subject my kids to this kind of medical intervention. I would like the public health sector of our government to prove to me that vaccines are safe so that I will be confident enough to vaccinate my children. Right now I have no confidence. If Barack Obama did utter the words about opposing " selective vaccination " , and it is not entirely clear what he meant but I have a high level of confidence that he said it, then my faith in his message of " change " is diminished and his enlightened rhetoric becomes threatening. Some of the worst demagogues in the history of man were brilliant rhetoricians. Bob Catalano www.medicine-no.com
