Guest guest
just wondering how 'stupid' i'd be if i travelled w/ my daughter when she's 9 months old to central europe (hungary, croatia). should we not take the trip? i know my hubs will flip out if i suggest going w/o her being vaccinated, not b/c she'd be in a foreign land, but the time in the airplane would expose her to pathogens also. she is almost 6 months old now, & has had prevnar & rotavirs @ 2 & 4 months...i even regret those ( .. especially rotavirus. catija -- " I wonder if other dogs think poodles are members of a weird religious cult. Guest guest
When I took my 10 month old DD to Mexico, our Pedi was trying to convince us to get her HIB and Measles vaccinated. She laid it on very thickly and I actually had a moment of self-doubt and uncertainty. I took out my trusty books on vaccinations and re-read about those two specific diseases. My own intuition and gut would not allow me to get my daughter vaccinated. We were in Mexico for about 2 weeks and she did not get sick with Meningitis or Measles. I took our own water and food and I would wash her hands every time someone would touch her.
Guest guest
Good for you. You probably know more then her pedi does. We have many people here from Mexico....we don't have outbreaks all over the place. I was told that the people that are here illegally are not vaccinated anyway. ( why does the government not mention people from other countries being here illegally and unvaccinated why are they getting on the citizens cases only?) And if it's true that they aren't vaccinated (according to the way the gov. thinks) we should be having huge outbreaks with many things) Is anybody educated on this subject?
