need help w/ doctor decision

hi everyone - I have decided after the nightmare appt w/the infectious disease spec last week that i need to make an appt to see someone that I know for sure can help me and order tests to get to the bottom of my illnesses and help w/ my disability case also. It looks like Dr. Kolb is the closest - about 8 hours away. I know there are mixed views on different docs here but I was wondering who she has helped and how?? good - bad - whatever. I am going to self pay and don't want to make a trip just to have someone look at me... i want tests & proof & options for healing, etc. Not to sound like a freak here but i am tired of paying so much for doctor visits and getting no where - I don't mind traveling if I know for sure I will get helped. Please let me know asap as I have got to do something before I go nuts!! i was also thinking of bringing my son in for testing, too...
