Guest guest
Administering Remedies How to administer remedies for minor ailments? This page provides instructions on how to properly administer remedies for minor acutes and first aid. Please note: treatment, dosage, and potency for first aid and recurring acute ailments is very different for chronic conditions. Chronic conditions should only be instructed by an experienced homeopath. Potency: 200c for minor acute and first aidÂÂdo not use for recurring things that seem acute but are part of a chronic state or for anything else chronic. If you don’t have 200C, 30C may be fine for minor acutes and first aid, but may have to repeat more frequently. 30C should be used if treating an elderly family member or the person is in a very weakened state. Water or Dry? Always administer in water. Put your dry pillules or tablets in water to administer (see below for instructions). It is best not to take them dry. In a pinch, it is okay to give as dry. The vital force does better if you put them in water and then raise the potency a little each time. The vital force does not do as well with the same potency over and over and that is the way you would do it if you used them dry. Creating an aqueous solution Put one pillule or tablet in 6 oz of water (use purified, filtered water if possible) in a water bottle (glass or pastic). Let dissolve or sit for at least 5 minutes. Shake just a little after it dissolves. Take one teaspoon out of water bottle and give to the person. Have them hold in their mouth for a minute or so, if possible. Wait. Dose Frequency You basically give 1 dose of 1 remedy and wait….. If improvement, don’t give anymore. If improvement and then same symptoms come backÂÂgive another dose of same. To give another dose: Take the water bottle you have and succuss itÂÂthis is strong downward thrusts from about 2 feet upÂÂlike a judge hitting a gavel. Do this 10 times on a book or something (you are succussing to slightly raise the potency of what you have started with). Give another teaspoon out of this. If improvement and new symptoms appear, research and find what the new remedy should be. Sometime one remedy will shift things and then require different remedy to finish up. If no improvement on one dose of 30c in water, repeat it in 20-30 minutes. If no improvement on one dose if 200c in water, repeat it in 1 hour. If you are using 6X or something, may have to repeat oftener than a 30C as the energy ‘gets used up’, in a way. You can do this 2 or 3 times with 200C or 30C. If no improvement after that probably wrong remedy. Signs of improvement Improvement you may see first is in mental/emotional symptoms, or sleep, or general well being, or thirst or appetiteÂÂthen the physical symptoms may improve later. Solution Notes If you get near the end of the bottle, keep at least one teaspoon in there and add 6 ozs more of water to keep it going, as you have been raising the potency each time and don’t want to start over. Mostly you will never get to this point as you are treating a minor acute or first aid and you will only be repeating 3 or 4 times. Don’t need to refrigerate unless keeping overnight and usually this will not be the case. Throw away all solution at the end. If using a plastic water bottle and plastic spoon, throw away at the end. If using a glass bottle and metal spoon, boil in water for 5ÂÂ10 minutes at the end before reusing so all remnants of remedy have been neutralized. Other key points: Do not treat for chronic or recurring things on your own. DO not go by what is on the bottle (heaven only knows why FDA or whatever makes them say that stuff)
