Isnt it amazing that when we were all little we all got chicken pox and it

was never a big deal....now suddenly its a big terrible disease that can be

fatal- whatever. It is so ridiculous- its all about money- NOT about trying to

keep our kids healthy.

Dont give him any more vax!!!!!!!!!

wrong according to Merck's manual!!

" Merck warns in its Manual that patients with, or from families with,

B and/or T cell immunodeficiencies should not receive live-virus

Please, try and feel confident in your choice. If you get him more

shots he has a good chance of becoming autistic! YOu can't willingly

inject him with this crap!! (my opinion)

there is probably a better chance of him getting autism from the

shots then chicken pox from not having it.

I would find another pedi! Or, a family doctor. Ask some natural

doctors for a referral.

Maybe, you can write them a letter to educate them and burn off some

anger! You have every right being mad, however.

Their ignorance will hurt your child...time to move on.

wow....thanks Dawn!!! I would like to get ahold of that Merck manual.

will start pre-school in January and I was thinking of just filling in the shots

myself. He's only missing 3. My 22 month old does not have ANY shots. They are

11 mos apart and I started seeing a pattern with my older one everytime he went

for shots. None of my kids will see another vaccine as long as I am around.

Here's the package insert for Varivax. If you read though it it's

flooded with stated uncertainties and unknowns, like whether it

actually protects, and for how long, and it lists a whole slew of

" known " adverse reactions. It also states (as do all vaccine inserts)

that it is unknown whether this vaccine causes cancer or reproductive

problems. Fax this sucker to that dumb nurse! Also tell her

vaccines are not forced by law and you can elect WHEN he receives any

vaccine, if any, so to butt out and quit calling your insurance co.,

as that is none of their business.

You need to dump your doc. Find a chiropractor, natropath, homeopath,

or at the very least, an osteopath.

Wow, that even makes me mad! I would call her back and ask her about

the risks for the vaccine, and make sure she names off every single

possible adverse reaction, including death. Then tell her she is on

record stating all that and if you get him vaccinated and he suffers

a vaccine reaction, that she will be held negligent.

If your son does get chicken pox, it will probably help with the

eczema. Also, in Neil Z. 's book it states that about 100

people used to die per year from chicken pox and now there are

a " reported " 400 chicken pox vaccine deaths per year (this is to

VAERS where the CDC says only about 1-10% reactions actually get

reported.)

You are doing the right thing. I used to think after 12/18 months,

what's the point of researching vaccines cause they are just about

done, but I was so wrong about that. They need them for

kindergarten, I think 1st grade too cause my nephew got some this

year, they will need them for jr. high, maybe highschool, college,

not to mention the annual flu vaccine. So, yeah, at whatever time it

is never too late. Plus, you will always be able to pass the

knowledge down to them.

That is OUTRAGEOUS!!

I would get the nurse's name...and then file a complaint with the

DIRECTOR of the practice. Give the director all the info about how

dangerous it is to give the CP vaccine if child already has

allergies/issues!!! Give them what the pp's have said!

I would also switch pedi's ASAP and make sure that your current

office knows you are switching and why, and have them fax the records

to a new pedi (better yet, go to a chiro, naturopath, etc). If they

know you are " seeking a second opinion " you're better off. Try to

find a more holistic doctor if you can to switch to.

CPS was called on me for medical neglect for refusing to sign the AAP

vaccination refusal form, as well as for not wanting to do an iron

test, and for delaying solids and exclusively breastfeeding past 9

months. RIDICULOUS....(case was closed as soon as CPS talked to our

new pedi--everything was FINE!!!).

So yeah..I highly recommend you switching doctors, filing the

complaints...maybe even file a complaint with the STATE over this

nurse. What she told you was simply UNTRUE!!!!!!!

Yes, it's scare tactics and complete ignorance. Never go back there.

You need a good naturopath/homeopath to help your son get over the

asthma/eczema. It can be done. Then you won't have to worry about him being at

risk. You are smart not to vax him again.

Don't waste time trying to convince the nurse of anything. She's stupid. Just

find a new doc and have the records transferred over, tell the old doc they

should remember who the boss is here and bid them farewell. You don't need this

grief when you're the smart one.
