Hi Steph,

We really are blessed to have Dr. Melmed on our side! He's a

fantastic speaker and just about the kindest, best person I've met

in a long time.....definitely extremely humble for a plastic

surgeon....for anyone.

He had a great Powerpoint presentation showing pictures of women

he's explanted. He showed women that have been disfigured from

other plastic surgeons trying explant, women who have had problems

with augmentation surgery, what it looks lke to take silicone-gel

out of a body, a saline implant filled with bacteria/fungus/mold,

and different examples of HIS explant before and afters. He truly

made an impact on the press! I know that everyone left that

luncheon with an averse opinion of ANY TYPE OF IMPLANTS and even

silicone as an implanting substance!

It was wonderful! And since the trip, I've really been

concentrating on taking care of myself. I was doing so awful

because I was a bridesmaid in my friend's marathon wedding only a

day before my trip. So I had tons of factors against me :) I'm

doing much better now, though :)

Take care all,

Kacey

Kacey why did Dr Mehlemd say that saline was safe in his interview on

MTV? I am curius because I know he has told patients he does not feel

any implant is safe and I was also told he does not implant them, so

I was surprised by that comment that he made, but maybe there is some

explanation I don't know about. He sure does seem like a great

surgeon and you look really great.

Your doing a wonderful job by the way.
