Firstly, I HATE people who get up at 8am and mow their freakin' lawn. What

is wrong with these people? Have they lost their marbles? And they always do

it on a Sunday.

I'm so sorry to hear about your backstabbing neighboors. I say you get

your hubby to go to the store and buy and fake (plastic-costume like)

butchers knife and send it to them in the mail with a letter reading, " I

pulled this out of my back and figured you'd want it back. "

About this mowing the lawn without telling you; If you informed them of

your problems with BBQing and lawn allergies, they should call you and tell

you. It is not that hard. Gawd! Unbelieveable. Well, I guess there are some

A**holes out there. The important thing is you are a great person. Tell your

mom she doesn't need friends like them. Can I just come over there and slap

those people? aargh. I can't stand ignorant people. Well, I hope you feel

better soon!!! Many hugs to you and your family!!!

Aisha, there's an old Alasken way of dealing with these kinds of people.

First, go on a nice relaxing fishing trip. Then, when you get home, clean

all the fish out, putting all the guts into little paper bags. Deposit said

paper bags under these people's houses in the dead of night. If the smell

doesn't get them, the skunks who come to eat the fish will. Fry up the

now-cleaned fish and enjoy a nice fish dinner while thinking of those

good-for-nothing neighbors and their nice aromatic homes.

Sorry, but when people get stupid, you have to make them pay for their

stupidity. Stupidity should be a crime.

I hope you can get past this, don't let the stupid people ruin your week.

Dear Aisha,

Commiserations! I hate early morning grass mowing too - although we don't

get much of that as our apartment in the CBD. However, they are forever

pulling down and erecting office blocks and blocks of apartments around us.

Two weeks ago, a beautiful old home, opposite our living room windows, now

fully restored as a boutique hotel, opened after ONE YEAR of noisy work. We

breathed a sigh of relief but the next day a new group of construction

workers started demolishing the building next to it. Soon they will build a

twenty storey block of luxury apartments which will involve cranes, noise

from 7am six days a week, and the whole street closed each weekend (or

possibly all week) so that they can deliver the prefab concrete walls etc in

huge lorries. Access to our building is only possible via this street

(laneway) and one-way, so we will probably have to reverse the car back from

the next street to get to our driveway until it is finished! Now, I notice,

there is a sign on the building two away from us saying it is to go up

another 14 storeys. Oh joy! All these tall buildings create an enormous wind

tunnel and already I cannot go outside my building without my wheelchair as

the mildest breeze can knock me off my feet! However, looking on the bright

side. I can only see four more buildings in this block that are more than

ten years old and less than twenty storeys high, so maybe it will all be at

an end after a couple more years. I hope so as I can't afford to move house

again, as this apartment was specially altered for my needs when we moved

here!

EWwWW Dee! You are reminding me of a neighbor I had once from Korea, OMG

she went fishing quite often and would bring them home and plant them in

her garden which was right up by the house. We were in a duplex then and

my dining room window was right beside her garden. If that wasn't bad

enough, she also made Kimche (this is a kind of pickled cabbage they let

ferment.). Summer smelled so nice there, LOL So awful I can smell it

now.

Aisha, trust me this would be a good way to get even, :-)

Aisha,

Boy, am I glad that my landlady is not like your neighbors. I can

remember when I had my allergy testing done. I talked to her a couple of

days later and just mentioned that I had been allergy tested and found out I

was allergic to a lot of things. She very concernedly asked what they were

and I listed them all including the grass allergy. She asked how it would

affect me when she mowed around the trailers she owns. I stated as long as

I was out of my trailer for a couple of hours when she mowed around the

trailer I am in, it should be fine. She said that she would make sure that

she would call me before she got ready to mow in this area and has never

once forgotten to call and make sure I am out before she starts and starts

ASAP of my leaving so that I am able to be gone as little time as possible.

Right now, however, the grass is growing really slow and will probably stay

this way until about March or April.

I am so sorry to hear about your neighbors and will pray that it turns

out for your best.

Aisha,

Those neighbors must be related to mine!! It's totally amazing isn't it? I

keep telling my mother I should have moved to the hills, go some cows,

chickens etc and left the world behind!!!

I hope you can get thru all of this and I hope you Mom's ok.

  • 7 years later...

My sil took my 14 year old niece to their ped. yesterday for a physical

and got kicked out of the office for refusing to do the hep. A, hpv and

flu shot. The doctor said he would refuse treatment without these

vaccines.

I was happy though, she and my brother have decided no more vaccines

for my nieces (ages 14, 10 and 9).

Good for them! We can all clearly see that these peds have no interest in health

care, just in selling vaccines. Can you imagine a store refusing to let you back

in their store if you don't whatever particular product is on special that day?

Good. I hope more of them do that. Who needs them?
