Dear friends,

Greetings from UNDP Regional HIV and Development Programme, New Delhi.

Recently we have come out with five publications related to trafficking and HIV,

migration and HIV, involvement of PLWHA in HIV prevention and care, law and

ethics and the third edition of YouandAIDS, the HIV and Development Magazine for

Asia Pacific. All these publications are available in electronic (pdf) form on

the home page of www.youandaids.org, the HIV/AIDS portal for Asia

Pacific under the category: Latest Publications. The hard copies of these

publications are also available on request.

We would greatly appreciate if you could kindly carry the links for the

publications and information about them on your websites so that they reach to a

wider audience.

The titles of the publications are as follows:

From Challenges to Opportunities: Responses to Trafficking and HIV/AIDS in South

Asia

This publication aims to share some innovating and path-breaking initiatives by

a few civil society partners in responding to the complex nexus of vulnerability

of women and children in the context of trafficking and HIV in South Asia.

(Hardbound, 56 Pages)

Law, Ethics and HIV/AIDS in South Asia: A study of the legal and social

environment of the epidemic in Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

The findings of this study clearly demonstrate that both rights-based policies

and a shift in social values and attitudes are urgently needed if we are to

effectively address the epidemic in South Asia. (Paperback, 44 Pages)

HIV & YOU: An HIV/AIDS awareness programme among migrant industrial workers and

surrounding areas by PLWHA This publication documents a best practice in

reaching out to migrant labourers and communities in industrial setting by

people living with HIV/AIDS in India. It is a replicable example of the

convergence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and GIPA (Greater

Involvement of PLWHA) in addressing the HIV-vulnerability of migrant labourers

and their communities. (Paperback, 20 Pages - also includes a short film on the

programme)

YouandAIDS: The HIV and Development Magazine for Asia Pacific, March edition.

Published in the format of a popular mainstream magazine three times a year,

YouandAIDS seeks to reach out to general public and others information and

contemporary issues, best practices, PLWHA issues and other developments in HIV

in Asia Pacific. The cover story for the March issue is on UNDP's Leadership for

Results programme and the leadership programmes by other stakeholders. The issue

also has a special feature on empowerment of PLWHA, features from the region,

columns, interviews, poetry, art and a photo feature among others.

(106 Pages)

Migration and HIV in South Asia

A booklet that delineates the complex link between mobility of people and HIV in

South Asia and the responses that are needed to address them. (12 pages)
