Guest guest
There is a grouo in MI www.momvaccines.org it is 15 bucks per year to be a member, has doctor refferals if you call and ask. There is a ped group in Ann Arbor that looked awesome to me but its too far for us. as for support, this group has done wonders for me, and it gets easier as your kids get older and you see how well they are doing. Guest guest
You don't have to go if you don't want to. I only go to check height/weight and if there's something I missed (like with bones, inside the ears, etc). Never ever sign that form. Never. You are not obliged in any way to sign it. If you dread they ask you to, print out the form they offer at Mothering.com that says vaccines are completely safe and the doc takes all responsibility for what happens afterward - no doc will ever sign this and it will shut them up (sorry for the coarse language). I can't find the link, but dig a little there...
Guest guest
I do a combination of things. I took my son to all his well-visits until he was 2 (the ped is nonvax friendly; his wife is a chiropractor). Then I stopped. We started going to a chiro regularly at this time and after all these well visits I decided they were pretty much pointless since wasn't vaxed at all. During the entire 2 years, I only took him there once when he was actually sick and was seen w/o fuss. FYI: this doctor does not separate healthy and sick children in the waiting room - I really didn't like that. is now 4. He has only seen his ped twice in the last 2 years: once for an ear infection that I wound up clearing up with chiro visits and garlic oil and another time for some school forms. We go to a chiro weekly. You have to do what you're comfortable with. Some do well visits, some don't. I do have a homeopath and a naturopath I can turn to if I need to. The ped is always there if I need him. If it's a true emergency, I'd probably just go straight to the ER. Hope this helps you some - good luck in making your decision, Magda
Guest guest
On the Allopath side a copy of Mendelsohn M.D. " How to raise a healthy child in spite of your doctor " book will give excellent advice on childhood illness. On the health side a book by Harvey Diamond or Bragg just to name two, will teach you how to ween your self away from doctors and be your own doctor which should be the goal of every thinking person. The only time one needs an Allopath is during crises or trauma. I haven't been to a doctor in over 40 years, and outside of an aspirin never taken an anti(against) biotic(life). As Dr. Herbert Shelton said(not an Allopath) one builds health by healthful living. P.S. The sick feeling you get is an inner intelligence telling you something. I have noticed a lot of women experience that, but tend to ignor it over the scare tactics of the enstein group.( Allopaths) Let that higher power guide you. You will get lots of support and guidence from this list. The sooner you understand this vaccine insanity, the sooner you can begin to help others see the light. Jim O' Founder of S.I.N.B.A.D. Whatever you do though, do NOT sign that vaccine waiver form that the pediatrician provides you with. Find a doctor who will not force you to sign it. If you read it carefully, it states that you are a neglectful parent for not vaccinating and that you are putting everyone at risk by your actions. Some parents have had child protective services alerted when they signed this form - amazing how that is not news worthy, huh? Not all doctors are making parents sign this - most are though. > > I have done selective/delayed/ 1 at a time vaccinations on my 3 yr old > DD and my 4 mo old has had none. They go to a regular family practitioner and I have no problems with well child visits. I have had very bad experiences with a really pushy pediatrician though so you may just want to shop around. Ive also hear people say that trying to get a doctor to sign a form guarenteeing that the vaccines will not hurt your child will get them to ease up the pressure on you to do so. I would be happy to offer you support in your decision. email me back if youd like.
Guest guest
First let me say I am usually a lurker here and appreciate everyone's information and advice. I was just recently at our Pediatrician's office for well visits. Thankfully my boys are rarely sick. (I have a 3 yo and an 18mo) This group has never been pushy about us not vaxing, however at this last visit they asked me to sign the vaccine waiver form. Thankfully, because of this group, I knew not to sign it. When the doctor came in (who we have never had a problem with) she said that the STATE (we live in NY) is now mandating that all parents who choose not to vaccinate must sign the form. I told her I didn't feel comfortable signing anything and that I would take it home to discuss it with my husband. She went on further to explain she will have to note it in the chart that I refused to sign it...for STATE purposes and records. My husband has a good friend that is an internist and of course he asked him about the form. The internist (of course) advised that we sign it bc he said they can call CPS on us. What do you all think? Thank you for your time and thoughts. Sharon K. > > > > I have done selective/delayed/1 at a time vaccinations on my 3 yr > old > > DD and my 4 mo old has had none. Guest guest
Refusing to sign a form is hardly child abuse or neglect. I would not sign the form... Guest guest
I doubt if it would ever go this far, but if CPS ever contacted you and said you had to sign the form, all you have to do is tell them to send you a copy of the law that requires signing such a form. Its been about a dozen years since the CPS tried to scare my son into vaxing or else, but there is a difference between mandates and laws. But if its not a law on the books they are bluffing and have no authority to force you to sign anything. Just insist on them giving you a copy of the law. Stand up to them and they will huff and puff and blow their selves away. They love pushing around the timid and or ignorant. In after thought, call your doc and ask her to send you a copy. This would also tell you what kind of a doc she is, whether she is being straight or not. In particular if she respects you or not. I remember when I was down at the law library looking up the health laws, there were two young gals at the next table. My ears perked up when I overheard one say " maybe we can use this on him " it didn't take me long to realize that the him was me they were talking about . By the way these people were from the county. No one at the country level ever responded to my letters of demand. I had to go to the state to get action, which I got. Remember all county employees are subject to the state health department which gets its authority from the state constitution, and if it isn't there, they don't have it. When a government employee acts without the backing of law they are acting on their own and can open theirself up for a lawsuit. Guest guest
Question - why should we not sign the form to not vax? I take my 4 month old for his well-check next week and the Dr. office said it is fine that we do not vax, but we have to sign a form. Can someone help me on this? I don't understand why I shouldn't sign the form. Thanks.
Guest guest
Because of how they word the form. It's THEIR form and the usual guilt-trip crap is in there and it could technically used against you. why do you need to take the baby in for a well check? Are you not capable of seeing that your baby is well? why take a well kid to a place where sick people are? " well checks " are for vaccines. If you don't use their products, why go to their store? Health is a business and vaccines are consumer driven, ensured with future sales by scare tactics and intimidation by its employees. I have a 10 month old. He's not been to the doctor since he was 2 weeks old. I don't need a doctor to tell me what I already know and I don't want their wares either. If you want to know how much they weigh, weigh him at home. Measure him at home. I don't pay attention to their graphs either. Guest guest
Great response, ! Really, whether you sign it or not, the vaccines are still being refused and that's the real " crime " . I'd think twice about living in NY if the state is behind this. Is it really, though? I'm in CT and they ask you to sign the forms. But no one told me it was the state requesting it. Maybe someone is assuming it's the state, or they say that because it's easier than the truth, which is " we're trying to intimidate you! " I signed mine, but I changed the wording to the opposite of what they had down. Maybe they would accept that.
