It is on at 2:35 AM here in southeastern,PA (Delaware CO). I have no idea how long our segment will end up being - definitely not the entire show. I will try to get a copy of the tape to loan out if I can. Guest guest Posted August 10, 2001 Report Share Posted August 10, 2001 I watched Inside Edition on Ch 2 NYC today at 3:30PM. There was no OCD segment. Is the show 1/2 hour or 1 hour? Went yesterday with Belle to the psychiatrist for the 2nd consultation. Belle was taking 25 mg of zoloft for the last 2 weeks, but the dr. wants her to take 50 now. She said that was still a small dose. Is it? She said if Belle wasn't having any side effects, it probably wasn't a large enough dose. Does that sound right? She also read a small book about OCD with Belle, trying to expalin what she has. I thought that was good. She made a list of her 5 biggest fears. #1 Sleep #2 Her teeth (not compulsive)#3 Her clothes being acceptable etc. I thought that was also good. I do think I like this dr. Her psychiatrist said at one time that 200mgs.was the top dose,but at her last visit,he said he has gone up to 300. Guest guest Posted August 10, 2001 Report Share Posted August 10, 2001 Hi , The information we were given from Inside Edition was that the segment would be aired on August 10, they did not specify the time, since this particular show is syndicated and it can be shown at different times in different parts of the country. The OCD portion will be just that, a portion...the entire show will not be devoted to OCD. I do know that yesterdays segment did not have anything to do with OCD, and they were advertising OCD Kidss as part of the show today. Please check the OCfoundation web site if you have questions concerning Belle's dose of Zoloft. Your statement regarding the doc's comment about having no side effects yet was puzzling -- did she/he mean since there were none they could increase it. So long as your seeing improvement and little or no side effects I'd keep increasing it until OCD is manageable. Just my thoughts. I checked the listings and watched the opening blurbs, but no mention of the OCD Kids excerpt. I was uninterested in the segments that they previewed, so I didn't watch the show. I have had an overwhelming number of requests for copies and since my Dad was the only one to have been luck enough to tape it I need some time to copy some loaners. They showed the little argument at the end of the 'interview' and how was repeating, " it's NOT controversial, kids NEED to get their vaccinations " Then the Inside Edition woman said, " wanted everyone to know it is IMPORTANT to get your children vaccinated in spite of the Autism scare " Ok, sheepies let's follow along now....geez! said it's gotten too much " star power " behind the scare, well if that's what it takes to wake people up, ok!
