Guest guest
I would be careful about announcing a pox party. A few years ago on another group there was a mole from the gov't and the group was shut down due to the spreading of diseases on purpose. I read this on a few groups....not really sure if it is true but the group was shut down mysteriously. But, I do agree 100% with getting natural immunity. My mother had a pox party for my sister and I with cousins and neighbors in the 70's and nobody said crap about that...the pediatrician even suggested it!!! Now this is taboo because the drug company won't make money on natural immunity!!! Thank you in advance. >
Guest guest
Well, that's a good plan, but good luck. I've been waiting almost 11 years for my youngest to get it. You just can't predict who will have it, where you'll be or if your child will even get it if exposed. I do believe there has to be more than a few hours exposure, possible a few days or repeated exposure might be needed. You'd have to have some pretty willing other parents putting up with you hanging around for some time. I would (and do) just keep your kids out and about as much as possible for the best chance. My older three had it all within two weeks of each other. No big deal as far as discomfort went--and one son had them everywhere (use your imagination!). I gave them homeopathic Rhus Tox for the itching and all of them were fine--barely had a fever, if I recall correctly (15 years ago). Guest guest
I think pox parties are a great idea as are measles and mumps parties. Natural immunity is the ONLY immunity! Plus having the basic illnesses helps build a strong immune system that can and will protect you in the long run. ----- Reply message -----From: " TINA " <cuches@...>Date: Mon, Feb 22, 2010 8:59 AMSubject: Re: Pox Party<Vaccinations > I would be careful about announcing a pox party.
