Guest guest
I have chosen not to vaccinate my 15 month old daughter to date. She was nursed until 14 months and then I slowly weaned her. I give her reverse osmosis water, organic fresh food and milk, vitamins, probiotics, vitamin C and take very good care of her heatlh overall. As soon as I stopped nursing within one week, she got Roseola. It was a very very high fever (104 at its highest) and no other symptoms. I spoke to my doctor (allopathic) and she said there was nothing to be done until symtpoms broke. I am not sure if looking back if that was the best decision not to go to the ER, but then she broke out in a small rash on the 3rd day. She was never sick in the 14 months I have cared for her. She stays at home with me but we attend all kinds of events and playgroups, etc. Then about a month later she got her first cold. Mild, but her first cold. I am disturbed and somewhat concerned because I don't believe in vaccinating her and some parents on this board who have not vaccinated ever shared how well their children were growing up and weren't ever sick. I believe not vaccinating is not just about " not vaccinating " but a lifestyle of health overall. I dont' want to be a sitting duck for disease with her. I want to protect her. And yes, I do believe vaccines " work " for the most part, HOWEVER I think the risk and all of the overload, pharmaceutical influence, amount requrired, is ridiculous. I am now contemplating the bacterial menegititis vaccine (HIB). Tetnus concerns me but I think the symptoms would show up clearly and give me enough time to react...menegititis I am not so sure of. I am not going to do anything today, but someone please help me. My daughter has exceled at such a young age in talking, walking and learning and I believe it's partly because she hasn't been toxified with heavy metals and toxins. Please advise. Thank you " L;'\epared for " childhood diseases " yet parents on this board have stated .
