They look on US as the menace - yet in their fanaticism, look at what they are

advocating. They have absolutely no conception of the principal of informed

consent, no sense of history eg the Nürnberg Trials, or that f Mengele would

be pleased to know them!

Subject: Infection Control Committee

Vaccinations

Date: Wednesday, November 26, 2008, 7:13 PM

I recently accepted a position as the Quality Coordinator for a

health

system after working over 10 years in as a Quality Director in mental

health.

Today I attended my first Infection Control Committee and was appalled

at the discussion which unfolded over one of the agenda items.

Data was presented on the immunization rates for employees receiving

the flu vaccine. One physician was very upset over the 60% compliance

rate.

He suggested that employees, who refuse to be vaccinated should not be

promoted and should not receive raises. It didn't end there. He then

suggested that no new employees be hired unless they received the

required immunizations. When the Risk Officer stated they could not

legally enforce this, the physician became so upset he angrily stated,

" Then we should line them all up and shoot them! "

Another physician then stated it should be a requirement for all

non-immunized staff to wear face masks and pins, which would warn

patients that they could potentially infect them.

This discussion continued for longer than I would have liked and more

suggestions like putting together a list of names of those who refuse,

etc. were brought up.

After the meeting someone, who is aware of my position on

immunizations told me that the physician, who suggested someone like

me be shot, used frequent sarcasm. I looked at her and stated, that

was not sarcasm!

Anyways, just had to share and vent as I re-evaluate my position.

This is proof that they don't care about people, just the numbers. Maybe you can

insert a little sanity into this organization. Next time they talk about putting

masks on the unvaxed, you could suggest everyone wears masks because no vaccine

is guaranteed to work, and we don't want to take any chances, right?? Remind

them if the vaccines do work, then it shouldn't matter what any one person does.

I imagine this is going to be a huge adjustment for you. Good luck, and thanks

for sharing. It's important to hear what goes on behind the scenes.

I'd love to know if he is vaccinated for flu and hep b. Suggest he gets his

yearly flu vax in front of everyone, like President Ford and the swine flu vax

(although they would have only injected him with water), but make sure it is a

mercury one

Good idea. Better yet, add that he should get all of the new vaccines for

children that he never got when he was little, plus boosters for the ones he did

get--and get them all on the same day. After all, Offit says it's safe.

The data presented only included the nursing staff, receptionists, and

administrative staff.

There was no information regarding the vaccination status of the

medical staff.

In fact, after the meeting I asked the Infection Control staff member,

who presented the data why it was absent. She didn't have an answer...

I would have asked during the committee except I was terrified to take

on the angry physician.

The short time I have been in this position it has been very eye

opening. Another issue that I have a problem with is the " pay for

performance " indicator that rewards physicians for meeting the combo 2

immunization schedule. " Monetary " rewards for pushing vaccines!

I can't even begin to express the level of disbelief I have of what

occurs in the medical field. And, now that I have more knowledge

because I'm on the " inside " of it all, it make my stomach turn even more.
