Normal for 1-3 yo - 24 -40 respirations per minute

Pediatric Respiratory Rates

Age Rate (breaths per minute)

Infant (birth­1 year) 30 ­ 60

Toddler (1­3 years) 24 ­ 40

Preschooler (3­6 years) 22 ­ 34

School-age (6­12 years) 18 ­ 30

Adolescent (12­18 years) 12 ­ 16
