He seems a bit worse today. His father is screaming at me, telling me that I need to go to the store and buy him tylenol, and that he will get better fast. I don't have the energy to get through this. He doesn't want to talk. My 4 year old son does not nurse. I wish he did. I don't know what to do with his dad or my son. But you don't need a doctor for this. Guest guest
Oh, I meant nursing him through it as in giving him comfort. How is he worse? Have you given him any homeopathic meds? Tell your husband that Tylenol will not cure anything. Okay, now for what to do. I would break out the ginger ale. Send hubby to the store for some so he can have something constructive to do. None of my kids have ever refused ginger ale and it gives them a shot of sugar to perk them up. That is my non-healthy solution that works every time in this house. If he's still throwing up, you don't want the ginger ale to be ice cold. Guest guest
I do popsicles too. I figure a body knows what it needs and if they can talk, I just keep asking 'what does your tummy say it wants to eat " .. if they can't talk, I offer every gentle thing I can think of and if they're interested, they'll have some. That's the great thing about being sick. You can listen to your body. If you don't, you know it and you feel worse Tylenol won't help anything but mask it and though Oh look little johnnie is up and running about now.. that doesn't mean he's well but that is what we're trained to think is well. Tylenol is very hard on the liver and it's so easy to go from a helpful dose to overdose. We don't have anything OTC in the house at all. we use nothing to chicken soup to homeopathy. so I guess if I go to the store to buy crackers and 7-up and soup.. that is my OTC cold remedy Nita (crew chief) and the crew: 15, Jon 14, 11, 9, 7, Christian (7/16/03 to 8/22/04), 3 and Isaac, 2/3/08 http://momof6.dotphoto.com <http://momof6.dotphoto.com/> for not necessarily current pictures and http://nitasspot.blogspot.com Come, PLAY!! http://www.discoverytoyslink.com/nitagarner Learn from the mistakes of others.
