Guest guest
Magda, If she does call cps, you can tell them the law. I think some doctors do know the law, they just act like they dont and they dont want us to know either. Same goes for the schools. Hope your daughter is doing well. I'm not sure where it states this - maybe on the vaccine insert - but you should NOT vaccinate when a child is ill. Doctors seem to convenietly forget this. > I am SO worried that this young doctor will call cps on me. I have a > philosophical exemption, but I don't think doctors know the law > themselves. I hope things will go better for you and your little one gets better! Magda
Guest guest
Hi , Sorry you have had to go through this and I think you've just discovered why so many of us here on this list no longer use doctors for primary care. I personally have gotten together a great homeopathic kit over the years (the remedies themselves are not expensive) and I have 2 good homeopathic first aid books. We treat ALL minor problems like sore throats (and calling it a strep throat means nothing - strep is just the name of a bacteria that can cause many things - amongst them throat infections, and if your doctor didn't take a swab, they wouldn't have a clue what bacteria or virus was causing your throat infection) at home with great success. I have 4 children and in the last 15 years, we have been to see the doctor 4 times - 3 of them for broken bones and once for a very seriously infected foot my son had. The doctor swabbed it and found that it was MRSA (a very serious bacterial infection that is resistant to almost all antibiotics) and wanted to give him Cephlasporin (I think that's the name of it - the same antibiotic they used for the Anthrax scare in the US). We did a 24 hour trial with a herbal antibiotic that is made locally - using it both internally and topically - and within 24 hours, the infection had halved in size and within 48 hours it was gone - and it hasn't returned since - this was more than 4 years ago. We use doctors to diagnose difficult situations - and then choose the treatment ourselves. For every treatment a doctor will use - all of which are toxic - another word for poisonous - there are natural alternatives which are at least as effective if not more effective. I can't stress enough - it is time for us to stop seeing doctors. We know more about health than they do, we are more respectful than they are and we should not put ourselves or our children in their power. The exceptions are the many good holistic doctors out there. I know when I was last in the US, we found a holistic doctor for my father. There is a holistic medical association out there we searched and they list holistic doctors by area - it may have been the AAPS or some other organisation - I can't remember. But emergency rooms are for true emergencies - car accidents, broken bones, trauma conditions - these are the only areas where Western medicine really excels. Once you feel confident in your ability to treat at home, you won't be running off to doctors any more. Oh, and chiropractors - find a good chiro - they can help with most of these problems too. My primary care physician is a chiropractor, my secondary care physician is me. :-) All the best, Meryl On 19/12/2008, at 1:05 AM, cindylouwho_79 wrote: > My daughter was running a fever over the weekend. Guest guest
This information was just posted on the list where people are discussing the absolutely horrendous reactions their girls are having to the Gardasil (HPV) vaccine. This is the information I was talking about with you but here are links to organisations where you can find holistic doctors - great coincidence that they are talking about the same thing at the same time on that list. www.naturopathic.org The two other links she gave me are below. You might find someone to help you their also. Guest guest
The doctor is very ignorant. You have your rights. You cannot be forced to receive medical treatment, for you and your daughter. I have to worry about a significant other that disagrees with my opinions, and that does not inform himself as much as I do. I understand, and that is a fear that we should not live with. We should not fear for making the right decisions. Take care, Marieliz > > My daughter was running a fever over the weekend. Guest guest
I would complain to the people who run the urgent care that the doc refused to treat your daughter (and lost them the business). Point out that the doc is incompetent if she can't perform a simple strep test. Seriously, find out the name of the head honcho and report her. Threaten to sue. Where do you live and how old is your daughter? Winnie I took my daughter to urgent care last night.... Vaccinations > My daughter was running a fever over the weekend. Guest guest
I agree with Winnie. I would also " point out " to them that if your daughter " had been " vaccinated with a live-virus vaccine she would be a contagious risk to others for up to 6 weeks according to the manufacturers - particularly to immune-compromised, young infants, and pregnant persons (don't they treat these people in their urgent care too?)!! Pretty dumb doc to be accusing you of any wrong doing. It also wouldn't hurt to call your local paper and voice your opinion about discrimination. Guest guest
I would love to know what you keep in your kits, and what books you find most beneficial. Thanks! Steph
Guest guest
Books: Your Healthy Child by Alice L. Duncan; How to Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor by Mendelsohn. Basic homeopathic meds: Arnica, Belladonna, Pulsatilla, Chamomilla, Apis, Rhus Tox, Ruta, Spongia and Oscillococcinum. Other meds/vites: Quercetin, Larix, EmergenC vit. C and a tube of calendula gel. These, ginger ale and a vaporizer gets us pretty much through anything. Winnie Re: I took my daughter to urgent care last night.... Guest guest
this is the vax chapter out of Mendelsohns book, one of the best articles ever written, probably the best http://whale.to/vaccines/mendelsohn.html Re: I took my daughter to urgent care last night....
