Guest guest
Sorry for the OT - please respond offlist. I just found out my 8yo is borderline Hypotensive. Her Cardio wants us to try upping her salt and fluid intake for a month and see if that corrects it. If not he will prescribe meds. I looked it up on WebMD and the 2 common drugs for this condition are Fludrocortisone & Midodrine. I'm going to try everything I can to correct this naturally, but I want to see the package inserts from these drugs so that I have an agrument prepared for why I don't want them in my daughter's body. I know that Fludrocortisone is a steroid, but they claim " Fludrocortisone has none of the anti-inflammatory properties of cortisone or prednisone and is not a muscle-building agent. " I'd still like to know if it's likely to cause Diabetes or not, etc. TIA! )0(~~~)0(~~~)0( Mom to Brittany, vag 08/31/93, dx'd IDDM 05/28/01; , c/s 06/28/97; Shayna, Inv T c/s 06/01/00; Thalea, VBA2C 06/24/07 MC - 04/20/08 Read Thalea's birth story here: http://www.jessicas-haven.com/baby.htm Vaccine free since 1999.
