no - after they did the open capsulectomy I worked on them pretty hard w/ the massage so they didn't harden up again - when I was nursing my son they got pretty hard then as I couldn't massage but after I stopped nursing they got soft again - it takes a lot of hard painful massaging to keep it off. I made my hubby do it every few days as hard as he could to keep the scar tissue from getting too painful.
