reaction to adult tetanus/whooping cough booster?

I posted last week my frustration at my sister taking the adult

tetanus/pertussis booster shot at her physical last week. She was

already sick with a bad cold when she went to the appointment.

Today she is COVERED in painful, itchy hives from head to toe - really

nasty. Benadryl didn't help - in fact, they are worse since taking the

benadryl. She is going to the doctor today. I encouraged her to

consider that it may be a vaccine reaction - she didn't think it could

be because the shot was a week ago, but I tried to assure her that

many people react much later, especially if she was already sick when

she got the shot and her body has been trying to fight off the illness

and the vaccine as well.

Does this sound like a vaccine reaction? I tried to find the package

insert for this shot but wasn't sure the official name of it.

Of course. Tell your sister that if she expects the shot to have good effects

lasting ten years (they say), one surely can have bad effects a week later.

So I have convinced my sister that her reaction of full body hives was

to the vaccine. Her dr. had to admit it to when she saw the huge red

ring of hives all around the injection site. My sister is reporting

this to VAERS. Dr. referred her to an allergist to find out if she is

allergic to one of the vaccine components - I feel like this is

useless, but I've had negative experiences with allopathic allergists.

Of course, it's useless but way to go, Melinda!! You got through to her and the

doc admitted it--all in one shot (so to speak)?? That is amazing!

I can't believe she was so reluctant to even consider it a vaccine

reaction if there were hivers AROUND THE INJECTION SITE! Good grief,

people are so brainwashed!
